TradingView Strategy - need help

I had developed a pine script strategy for currencies, stocks and indices.. works good on almost most of them(various instruments and timeframes).
I am thinking about upgrading my account to premium to forward test. but bit confused how my script will work once go live...(need to deposit in broker and fee for tradingview)

will there be difference between backtesting and forward testing.. will it worth my time and money..

If I am not wrong, TradingView's PineScript doesn't take into account the spread, and also, the movement of the candlestick.

Example is, if the candlestick is Bullish when close, it would take it as that it was *ALWAYS* Bullish, it wouldn't take into account that price could have fallen to the Low Price of the candlestick before moving back up, so, in reality, you might have already gotten stopped out, but the PineScript doesn't take that into account.

I did meddle with PineScript previously, but the thing about PineScript is that, you have to use external API to make it work, and only works on some brokers. You can't automate the strategy through TradingView.

ok thanks.. yes i know about spread and commisions..so i covered it... only problem is price movement like you mentioned... in currency market its not much of an issue ..problem is with stocks have gaps which will mess up my strategy..so as of now going to focus on currency only

The difference between test and live that when you test you don't influence the market. In real trading even your 0.01 lot size can change the direction hard.
In this case your strategy will work pretty good on high volume assets. More volume less influence for market.

When you are testing your strategy with tradingview you can code the spread, swaps, fees and so on. And it will take this into account.

On the MT4, you can code any trading strategy regardless of its complexity thought it will encompass various setups as related to indicators, price actions, candlestick patterns, visual manipulation of MT4 objects, e.g. trading based on trendlines, arrows, fibos and more.
