Definitely I can put 2 of this indicator on the same chart. It's just that I only need 1 more session, that's why I thought of using only 1 indicator to do the job. My chart already has a lot of indicators so adding one more may further reduce the MT4 speed.

Can't help you there

Give it a go, see what happens

Or run 2 x Metatrader

The first for the first 12 hours of the day

And the second for the last 12 hours of the day

Seems like your trading 24 / 7, that should work fine

Or get Tradingview

What are "sessions" going to tell you that Price Action cannot tell you?

I am not using them as session boxes. I am using them to help me to identify the H4 high and low, that's why I need 6 "sessions" since there are 6 H4 candles in a day.

Yes, I am using Price Action and market structure. But I am also aware the importance of the H4 time frame that's why I want to identify the H4 High Low. Once a H4 have a false breakout, it would probably reverse for a short while. In a single H4 candle, I can get the nos of pips (depending on the currency pair I'm trading) that I want and get out of the market.

I don't want my chart to be cluttered so I only use the indicator to draw the high and low horizontal lines of H4 candle (inclusive of wicks) like how it looks on my chart attached.

There are many HL indicators you can choose from like HtfHiLo, MTF_HI_LOW etc. allow you to show all timeframes.
It never gets easier, you just get better

I agree with you, there are many HL indicators out there. But... they don't work well on Gold which opens 1 hour later than currencies.

I hope you find what you want

You lost me on the logic of using the High and Low which is PRICE parameter

And using the Sessions indicator which measure TIME

Hi frank1972 I think you want similar this . I adapt from " i-Sessions " I made this same dashboard and grid. alert and dashboard use session 1 .
You can try this and tell me if you have issue with this indicator. sorry for my English.

Tintep, you make programming seems so easy... you added alerts into the indicator in a few hours! A bit mind blowing for someone like me who don't really know how to do programming.

I haven't tested the new version of this indicator. But the alert function would be very useful.

By the way, are you saying that the indicator name can't be change otherwise it will not work? Yes, it prompted me that I cannot change the indicator name when I try to do that..

Hi Tintep, how can I put a duplicate of your new indicator in my chart? When I tried to put a duplicate file, it seems like the 2nd file overwrite the 1st file.

You think you can assign a unique ID to each session so that there will be no conflicts? Maybe this may solve the conflict.
Sorry, I don't know if it is too difficult to do it or not...

Once the new week starts, I'm testing the alert function.. will let you know how it works..

Hi frank1972 You can change " ID and DisplayID " for duplicate file.

all you wanted is a simple chart H4 period high-low, right?

so leave that session indicator alone as time-based.

here is one:
there will be 6 H4 high-low in one week,

does your broker have a Sunday candle?
