I want to say this before I get on with the subject relative to the title...
When I say rookies it includes all of forexfactory. Don't be under the impression that these people here day in day out with colored flags are any better than you, trust me they are not. I haven't seen one demonstrate the qualities of meaningful financial impact and it's easy to pick up on. So don't feel pressured by them or any trading stats, they're fleeting and eventually revert.
Delusion is rampant in forexfactory...it's frightening and sad.
You really need to take a grounded approach and ask yourself what makes you different from everyone here. Being a hard worker isn't going to cut it and you're severely discounting things. If it's because you have a love and interest in the financial markets you ought not pursue any further.
Don't answer this post, ask yourself these questions and hopefully some of your own.
If you're a retiree having a little fun with your stipend and your aim is to be on forums seeking attention, this post isn't for you. If you're young you have an advantage, but insurmountable is just the cash-burn alone. A few thousand dollars and good intentions isn't going to cut it. Talent is a thing in trading and your chances of being a youtube trader instead are much better.
In line with the title:
Speaking of youtube, here's something you should know about mt4 brokers - especially off-shore. It doesn't take much to start your own and this is just a snippet of the resources they use to rig things in their favor. The video editing is crude and text based narration is mostly done in Malay or Indo I believe. You might want to turn off the annoying track. Many of these little brokers are white labels of a main broker providing their services.
Tactics like these are utilized by the small shitt brokers and are more sophisticated the larger one is.
