The set file has flags and parameters set for single pass optimization, assuming the current settings don't work with your broker which they're not likely to. One pass may get you a trade-able result if your broker isn't too different from this one.

to set sell only your FMC=1

your order distance (blessing3 grid) is a factor of the ATR(100) days . I chose 0.5ADR(100) and the maximum trades is 5 for the initial basket.

when you want to change to buy only, change the FMC = 0. *Edited

hello richard that is a very impressive report, i must say. its the best i have ever seen. i have absolutely no knowledge of ea's or technical side of these thnigs. would it be too much to ask for this ea to be posted on here so i can test it on a demo? thanks in advance.

Had good results last month on a new live account. Started with $500 and almost doubled it.

High leverage (500:1), ten pairs traded simultaneously with small size.

Key points: M1, centered on Bollinger Bands, two or three grid levels (more might be better), MinMarginPercent set to 1500, no stops.

(Doubling monthly from $500 would reach a million in a year! Always good to have a goal. :-)

I like to cheat. And here's the big secret ...

Twenty-some years ago when the stock market was roiling I traded stocks. Had all the usual self-control issues folks have with manual trading, which is why I've graduated to robots. But I eventually learned well that you always have to have good stops. Stocks are unpredictable.

I used those same ideas for currencies for quite a while. Then I met a guy with his own web site and a following of good traders with decent manual trading abilities, busily turning them into EAs. One memorable thing he once said in passing was he doesn't use stops. "The market always comes back eventually." A big difference between stocks and currencies. "Some times you just have to wait a while." :-)

Sounded crazy when I first heard it. Recently I started to put the idea together with trading many currencies simultaneously, which could possibly help smooth out that occasional wait.

So I did a bunch of optimizations with stops disabled over a year's worth of history on lots of pairs. The results were usually stellar, with a common maximum holding time, once per year, of a month or two. Hmm.

If you run ten different currencies and a couple of them take a vacation it's not going to kill you. If you're impatient enough you can close out those trades and take the loss, which would still leave you with a nice profit for the year!

Now the world we're living in today is crazier than usual, with no signs of letting up. So could some of these currencies head off in one direction and never come back? Maybe. That's trading for you. If it were a sure thing we'd all be rich.

But I love the setups I get this way! :-)

Don't spread this around, if too many people start doing it world economies will crumble!

The previous week was even better, but the first half of that month was not good. I put the wrong set file on and didn't do well at all. If it had been no-stops it would probably be okay. The stops made a mess of things I don't think I'll post that. :-(

We'll see what September brings! I expect it to get better as it grows.

I had several M15's in there in the beginning, but the M1's seemed to work better and make more sense. Optimized over 2 months history. Started with one pass targeting just BB to define the outer movements. Traded several like that. Seemed enough to be nicely profitable and quick. But hitting the other entries one at a time in subsequent passes found one or two that wanted to join in the profit parade. As expected another account with less leverage didn't do quite as well, though still quite nice.

Am I wrong or are you currently the only developer on Blessing?
Some ideas I have for Blessing:
- Having the option to use the same indicator with two different timeframes. Someone already commented on the functionality of this in the forum.
- being able to set different stop loss for a specific day of the week (like Fridays!)
- built-in news filter
- expand the trailing stop setup (including manual setting; trailing by % ratio of pips;
- Dollar Take Profit (for example, with 10 dollars profit, the EA closes open orders)
- Take profit by % ratio of pips and/or by day.
- Open trades on both sides when market conditions change (Not exactly edge).
- Manual setting of pips bands limit for opening new orders.
The latter could be very functional as a currency pair goes in a single direction for days. Most EAs do not consider well the market elasticity. That was the main reason for my losses with Blessing... The EA does not see well the end of a trend and opens new orders in the wrong direction.

I am studying my mistakes and everything leads me to believe that it is partly due to my knowledge limits and the difficulty of including real market variables in an EA. One of the biggest challenges to making gains is not defining the entry point of a trade, but the exit point.

I am confident that everyone who is studying hard will be rich in a few years.

Others have contributed more to Blessing than I probably ever will.

Helpful folks stop by and make changes. If I like them I add them to my version. If things don't test well I tend to leave them out. I have great respect for the original Blessing and for it's creators, and would rather keep things reasonably clean whenever possible. Not that my own coding is that perfect, but I do trust my own hard earned money to it from time to time.

There are other versions back the list. I guess I'm just the noisiest or the most insistent. A few years ago I made some sort of substantial changes to the original Blessing that I consider necessary. Since I've never seen a better place to discuss this stuff I keep coming back here.

Using an indicator in multiple time frames is probably most easily done by adding it as another indicator. I periodically think about adding another instance of Bollinger Bands for instance. You never know if it's worthwhile until you test it. A very helpful guy recently added three instances of a new entry (SuperTrend I think), which I kind of understood. I thought maybe he was on to something so I tested them for quite a while but couldn't seem to get much value from them. No one else spoke up about how wonderful they were, so I left them out of my version. I hope he wasn't too offended. He did good work. I really appreciate such effort. You just never know if something is going to be useful until you try it.

(In my experience, trend indicators seldom make good entry indicators. They're best in the middle of a trend and worst at the beginning and end. Using one as a entry indicator means focusing on it's least accurate part. At least that's my semi-educated view, and what my testing seemed to confirm.)

Different stop losses for different days of the week is one I hadn't thought of. Interesting. I wonder how different you expect them to be. I do like features that lend themselves to optimization as this one does. Not sure how much of a difference it might make to a month's net profit.

If you find a good example of a news filter, hopefully in MQL code, that would be helpful.

Better trailing stops sounds reasonable. I need to understand what Blessing does now a little better ... :-) So much code, so little time.

So many different mechanisms for taking profits. Measuring by dollar shouldn't be hard. Hopefully across the whole basket. Or perhaps just displaying the value. Unless you think checking the value of the dollar constantly is worth the extra cycles. I mostly let the optimizer choose settings like TP, so I don't often think of it in terms of dollars. Perhaps a flaw in my upbringing? :-)

*Edit: Display of target dollars is already in there. Turn on debugging and it will appear at the top of your screen.

Trading in both directions certainly has potential, but given Blessing's current complexity that sounds quite messy, and requiring of much work and upheaval. Running two instances, one for longs and one for shorts, might have it's own additional advantages. I think that warrants more testing.

Judging the most recent and current market trend should always be a primary target. The more I lean towards simultaneous multiple currencies and NS, the more I feel the desire to focus on staying away from extremes and being prepared for larger shifts in direction. Trading from yesterday's or last week's high and expecting more upward momentum is fine if you have tight stops. Probably not if you have wide or no stops.

As always I'm looking for things that aren't too messy to code or are well supported by available indicators. Fortunately, Blessing worked fairly well before I ever touched it. Adding things to speed it up or maintain safe margin usage seemed like no-brainers. It seems almost unusable without them. My apologies to MT4 aficionados, but MT5 is a godsend and I'd still be years behind without it. So the substantial job of converting Blessing to MT5 that a kind soul contributed a while back is incredibly important in my view.

One of my gurus periodically talks about how entries are not that important, and I think trading multiple pairs exemplifies that claim. I can imagine taking trades at the midpoint of the daily or weekly range and achieving almost constant winning trades. NS. Even if/when the market takes a substantial turn you're likely to fare reasonably well. I'm not sure how that figures in to this conversation about Blessing enhancements, but it's something my brain has been ruminating over lately.

i think this EA will help to trade both sides it has many of the features like blessing plz check it will help all off us just add blessings other features in it......
