I have been super impressed with how transparent and smooth all the processes are with FTMO. The payout and refund is streamlined, I think my first payout via bank transfer reached my bank account in less than 12 hours, literally overnight from submitting on the dashboard, and the refund cleared within a few days. I wish I was paying more attention about the rise of prop firms two years ago!

It's Friday and I'm happy to be back on our forum. Welcome to another ForexFactory update everyone, I hope you've had a great week, let's get straight into the details.

Due to maintenance on all our platforms, MT4/5 and cTrader will be unavailable for trading on Saturday, 27 Aug 2022 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm GMT+3/CEST+1. On top of that, please be reminded that cTrader has a different trading hours schedule on Saturdays, therefore kindly manage your trades accordingly.

Starting from Monday, 12 September, the symbol US30.cash will have its contract size permanently modified to 1 contract per lot, from the current 10 contracts per lot. In order to make the transition smooth, on Friday, 9 September, the symbol will be set to Close-Only 1 hour before the market close, namely at 10:50 pm GMT+3/CEST+1, until the reopening after the weekend. Traders can then close their positions but won’t be able to open new ones, until the newly adjusted symbol will be fully tradeable on 12th September.
All traders are therefore required to close their positions on the US30.cash symbol and delete any pending orders on the symbol before the market close on Friday, 9 September 2022, regardless of the account type or stage (FTMO Challenge, Verification, or FTMO Account). Eventual positions left open will be closed and pending orders cancelled. Trading will resume normally on Monday at the market open.

Hi Nsak3y, the reason is simply mitigation of the exposure risk. If the trader has several floating profitable positions, the increasingly growing free margin then allows him to open hazardously large volumes - we’re talking hundreds of lots here - which is then dangerous towards our live accounts, but also to the trader himself. Responsible traders will barely notice the calculation change.

Hello Profit-men, it’s not about us deciding we want to stop cooperating with somebody, however, being headquartered in the Czech republic and hence being a part of the European Union, we are legally not allowed to send any transactions to Russian Federation due to the sanctions imposed by the EU and USA. Russian traders can still sign up & trade with us, however, we’re currently unable to send them any profits.

Hi CaptainRoger, sure. Having someone else pass your FTMO Challenge is directly contradicting our Terms & Conditions and we do not permit doing so. However, every case needs an individual approach and therefore, I can not say that all the users end up being blacklisted straight away. In lighter cases, we sometimes choose just to give the client a warning first.

Hello Lucvixx, I’ve checked our recent spreads on US100 and I have to say that you’re correct as for the past weeks, they have really been above the long-term average. Those are the prices we’re receiving from our LPs and I assume it might be correlated to the volatility of the USD caused by the Fed’s recent announcements. As of now, the spread sits at 80 points, which is about standard. We’ll keep monitoring the situation and if necessary, we’ll discuss the situation with our providers.

Hi Vitek - It turns out a funny situation.

To take money from the Russians - there is no sanction. And how to give profits - are there sanctions ???

You can register with you, you can receive money from Russian traders, but you cannot give back the earned profit because of the sanctions!? Tell me, why then do you have to register, spend time on your company?, if you still don’t give back the profit???

Wait until the sanctions are lifted??? And if they are removed after 50 years?? You know, it's not even funny. Traders from Russia, there is a list of prop companies in the propfirmhub branch of mastermind.

Who work with traders from Russia. They cooperate and most importantly pay a profit. Crypto withdrawals. There are those who pay through the Deel

FTMO has a specific sense of humor. With the same success, you can trade on a demo account)) and here and there, you still can’t withdraw money. ))

Most american brokers set max lot size to 50 in forex. or if you did try more than that they will start chopping your leverage down by quite a bit after 100 lot or so

The reasoning was not overly questionable for some, but the purpose for asking was so that we could get confirmation and maybe some clarification from FTMO.

FTMO has thousands of subcontractors, so maintaining an honest and transparent working relationship with business partners is (should be) very important, especially when changes are implemented that are related to trading. Such honesty and transparency should go both ways.

US30 & US500 lot value/pip is so confusing.
when changing trades between the two trying to catch entry as fast as possible, many trades open with lot size that's 10 times greater than what i wanted.
that cause a huge problem to my account.
why can't be the same in value per pip..?

did u check their updates on website. Sometimes they do maintenence ofmplatform which they post on website beforhand. So keep checking updates every week.
Hi i m new to this thread. In case anybody wonder that they are legit? I m trading with ftmo from about a month. I got paid my second payout and it was fast . Received money in my account within 1-2 days.
and they r overall best prop firm in terms of rules.

2 payouts in a month is entirely possible. FTMO pays bi weekly from the get go now.

Be careful, you will get yelled at soon. These posts pop up all the time regularly and in their trust pilot. Nothing is going on with FTMO its just bad practices. They pay, their conditions are fine and thats all that matters.

everyone should have wider spreads at market open as makers start putting in their limits. When the market opens it literally starts at 0. FTMO is no exception nor is tff or any other of the serious prop firms because serious prop firms only have real conditions and real conditions = wider spread first hour of open.
Incase not possible to pass within first two weeks better stay away for next month because that deposit should be greater than initial investment to get free try after 30 days period
