Better entry was of the lovely M with a double top false high on the 2nd M just before the close of the London WIndow.
Target the current Low of Day.

when candles are messy, switch to line chart.
switch through intraday time frames h1 to m1 to provide better overall picture.

So easy to see that upsloping line break and then see where price wants to go from there.

review of eu week on hindsight.

as a rule, do not trade in asian range on monday.
it is better to use previous friday asian range as reference.

whole week was based on quasimodo pattern forming before that.
sell stop taken then buy stop taken.
you can see the 2nd bullish rectangle engulfing the 1st one.

although fri bearish drop due to non farm payroll doubled which was rather threatening, retracement was till 79 fib.
mon asian range was used as bullish base up till fri asian range.

Hi Anthony

The 25EMA is a interesting moving average and works for me within your thread. I see we have two ways to trade a moving average, either sell below EMA if volume is increasing or Buy on Extreme volume at a possible daily low. Personally I trade both ways if I using the EU6U22 futures chart where this market is often 0.04 seconds in front of EURUSD market.

This chart is from the low of EURUSD after US open on Friday and the high volume of 1557 contracts was clearly a reason to buy the market back to your EMA.

Honestly I hate showing hindsight charts because no one is ever wrong showing them, something myself and Zoltan get annoyed about. So sorry for showing a chart after the fact - but this is how the Low of EURUSD played out for a easy Buy signal.

There for the Sell would of been earlier after price crossed the EMA while volume stayed above 300 contracts a minute and increasing.
If Volume sits under 150 contracts over 25 EMA average (actually works well)
DO NOT TRADE "HANDS OFF"

Wednesday, August 10th - Trade Review
No Trades
I decided to stay out of the market based on very weak movement through Asia and UK session as the market was obviously waiting for Core Inflation figures to be released from the US.
The market moved around 100 pips in just a few minutes then spent the next hour retracing back to the 1.03 DZ line before moving to retest the high.

Wow Rick! I completely understand yours and Zoltan's feelings about hindsight charts. However, I think it depends a lot on who is posting and what they are saying about them.

This is an excellent example of why looking at past price behaviour is a lot easier to explain using a completed chart. As we know, patterns / price action, while never exactly the same, do have a tendency to repeat and this can be tradeable.

I'll take some time this evening to digest what you have posted here as I have always respected your keen eye for charting and chart analysis.

Some one remarked before how you have come a long way ,I agree >>>>>> if it works for you mate don't be swayed by incorrect information by other traders its about the cash and its your money you trade with , from what i am looking at you doing a great job , Like you i have respect for Zoltan ,he does a great job and i do like his videos , kindest regards

Thanks Aussi, I appreciate that mate.

Over the past few years I think I've chased every forex rabbit strategy down nearly every forex rabbit hole. I suppose I've learned a lot and got pretty dirty in the process.

I've come to the point where I have a great respect for those who have found their "way" of trading and I enjoy showing that respect by reading along with them.

The way I trade now has come from a lot of "monetary" pain and of course time. That's why I finally wanted to start a systems thread but now happy to be in my own little journal. I know FF can get pretty crazy at times as members clash over their views on the markets.

You are most welcome here every day that ends in Y.

Thursday, August 11th - Trade Review

I was definitely trying to push a little too hard today after not having a trade yesterday. There were opportunities there I just didn't catch the right ones and was caught in the wrong ones. That is just the way it is. My 2nd loss was one of those trades where you just know lady luck is laughing at you. My stop was triggered to the pip and then went on to hit the full target a little while later. That's not the first time and it sure won't be the last when you are trading with a 10 pip stop.

Price has opened up under the pivot and above the 50 level in 25 pip range.
Last week closed bearish so I'll be watching HTF bears to see if they want to keep pushing this down even to the 1.02 DZ

this is now being played out since having a bearish view.
