yes. the wavy tunnel is a moving fibbonacci number. me ans several friends have been demo trading with it and backtesting it. it works with every currency. and with the last run with the pound you would have gotten 250 pips. it usually takes about three days. but take that three days with three currencies and you be happy.

try to stick to most common used values for the Moving averages these are 20 , 50 ,100 and 200 . The 100 and 200 levels are one of the most watched levels around so the market always reacts.

I agree with him if you don't optimize your strategies. But several statistical studies of the market show that no MA is better than other. It depends on the way your using it (to catch trends, as a trigger and so on) and the markets conditions. So, don't believe too much in anyone that says that with the X perido MA you can be more profitable. Make your homework and study deeply your strategy.

I have the 200-smoothed MA on all my charts (m15, h1, d1) to tell me which side of the market I should be trading.

I use:
8 EMA and 21 EMA on daily chart
150 EMA and 356EA on H1 chart
but use it only as a trend detector and dynamic support / resistance levels

Depends what you use it for.

Simple method is to use MA200. Applicable to any timeframe.

When trending: price tears below the MA200, short it. Once price comes up to MA200, close position. (vice versa)

Though this lacks accuracy. But it is able to capture the impulse moves.

I use MA with my RSI levels, so it depends on your strategy and indicators, you used for your analysis.

I use Moving averages 10, 20 and 50.

But i just saw in this tread that MA 100 and 200 are mostly used and always show a reaction on the charts?! is that correct?

If you are a short-term trader then lower time frames like H1, M30 would be better! For doing long-term trading D1 is the best! By the way, I use EMA8 and EMA21 into my live trading account, yes it’s crossover strategy.

Everyone is having different Moving Average Settings for their trading. According to their strategy, they use it. As I also have different.

Most traders will instruct you to exchange basic moving average hybrids and the benefits will tumble from the sky. Sadly, this isn't precise. Frequently stocks will tick over or under moving averages to just proceed in the essential course. This will abandon you on the wrong side of the market and down on your position. The following are a couple of approaches to profit trading the SMA. This will abandon you on the wrong side of the market and down on your position.
