If you back track your charts and look at where price has reversed where there are equal highs or equal lows of candles and price goes beyond that and leaves a wick this is where peoples stops have been taken out. The books teach the retailed trader to put there stops at these places and the algorithm is designed to take out your stops.

I have seen the ICT vids before, but I noticed that the most market structure traders like Bilal are trading a bit more "freestyle" than following ICT's rules religiously.

For example, your S&P 500 set up example doesn't include some kind of buy side/sell side liquidity taken.
