Another day, another opportunity.

What I saw on ETHUSD.


My personal opinion is that ETHUSD isn't going to be able to recover back to its previous glory. At least not now or today. What I would do if I were to trade ETHUSD is to place 3 Long Limit Orders when price retraces back to the Moving Average(expecting price to retrace back to the Moving Average).

I like to keep my Stop Loss to as wide as possible while still making sure I could get the maximum profit.

I am not trading this pair, however because the 1 unit is 127$ and my small account is obviously not allow this trade to happen.

This is not a trading advice, it is just my personal observation. If you do decide to go ahead with what I mentioned, the risk is all on you.

Nope. That's not a video, it's an image used as the cover of the video. It's called a thumbnail. Hope this helps.

Okay thanks for the clarification. I've seen YouTube videos with interesting graphics on display during the video and I'm still not sure which software(s) are good to use for creating YouTube videos. I want to create some content (not anything related to trading).

I have just entered on the CHFJPY through 3 Long Market Orders.

Going for 3 positions of 1R, 2R and a maximum of 4.34R.


I will be trailing the Stop Loss using the Happy Meal Trailing Stop Loss.

I didn't expect myself to complete this video in less than 3 hours. But here it is.

Yesterday, I took a trade on the CHFJPY and I managed to make some profit from it!

These few weeks is tough, market isn't moving much and not much was made. But, I am very thankful that I still did manage to secure some pips, unlike my earlier years in trading, where I unknowingly trade into whipsaws, and Major Consolidations that leads to nowhere, expecting to make money out of it without know HOW or WHERE the money is going to come from!

I am so thankful to My Previous Selves, to NOT GIVE UP. I hope that the Current Me, will continue to push the limit I am facing.

Hey Katie,

I just woke up not long ago and realised that I didn't draw the updated S&R Levels onto the charts yet. I just finished doing it. I don't think the market condition today is great, it isn't even "good", or, "ok".

I spotted an opportunity to enter. And I wanted to enter, but within 5 seconds, I pulled myself back from the train track and told myself that I should wait even if the train has not arrived because it is red light now.

Here's what I saw man.

As you can see, there are Minor S&R levels lying all around like mines waiting for you to step on them.

Even though there is an Entry Signal, doesn't mean that you should enter on it. The Entry Signal could be valid, but, if there other components of the market have their own "ideology", then, you would certainly be taken out if you choose to enter on this Entry Signal that agreed with you.

I am feeling the stretch today.

A minor test on my patience.

Initially, I wasn't planning to enter on any trade today because the market is in a Choppy Condition. But, after I took a shower, I came back to my laptop, turned on TradingView, and I saw that BTCUSD could have a potential trading setup forming. That was 3 hours ago, and time now is 3:31pm Singapore Time.

I usually place my orders during Asian Session, which I like, because I would not need to feel the tension on my mood, as I anticipate a setup forming. Two months ago or so, I entered on the BCOUSD trade, I was eyeing on it since 8am+ Singapore Time, and I only entered at 6pm+ I think.

Today is one of such days that tests the fabric of my patience and discipline.

Note : I wonder what is SUGARUSD doing. If there isn't another Major Support there, I probably would enter on this pullback to the Moving Average.

As for BTCUSD and ETHUSD, the available space for them to run is limited, but it does give me 3R minimum, so, I wouldn't mind entering on this two pairs.

For BTCUSD, I would enter on the third swing back to the Minor Consolidation's Resistance. Same thing for ETHUSD. Currently, both the BTCUSD and ETHUSD has completed it's first swing, so, two more swings left.

But, how long would take nonsense+++ take? Another 5 hours of back and forth?

+++ To wait for price to form the second and third swing before I enter. +++

That is when my Patience and Discipline gets tested. The 5 hours is just I anyhow one(no idea how to explain this anyhow one Singaporean slang) LOL, it could be 3 hours, or 24 hours later.

So, I have a decision to make, to wait and hope a setup forms? Or, to just get lost for today.

I would get lost for today. Why would I put myself through another 5 hours of stress just to enter a trade that could go either way?

Live to trade another day.

I missed the move on SUGARUSD and I am fine with it. Today, I spotted another opportunity to enter on SUGARUSD through Pending Sell Limit Order. Would my Orders get triggered?

Besides SUGARUSD, I am also watching another pair which is the EURAUD.

I just realised that SUGARUSD's Opening Hours begin 30 Minutes after London Session opens. Is this just my broker or is this universal?

Another pair I am looking at is the EURAUD.

I would prefer to enter on the SUGARUSD because of the Reward to Risk Ratio. However, if the market opens only 30 Minutes after London, there is a chance that EURAUD would provide an Entry Signal before SUGARUSD opens. If that is as so, I would have to bite the bullet and go with EURAUD.

Either way is fine.

At 09:30AM Singapore Time, Aussie has two news releases. And even 3 confluences cannot handle the news release. EUR WON.

In just 3 seconds time, the spike up took out my 3 Stop Losses. The Knock Out Punch.

Losing still stings for a little, even tho I am seasoned.

But that is trading! I am done for the week.

I made a trade on Wednesday's Asian Session, and I lost.

I captured the moment where I got taken out and as I replay that moment where my Stop Loss got hit, my mouse was running around in disbelief(I edited that part out, however , too longwinded)

And I took a lost of 2.7% instead of the usual 3% I always eat.

Great Day Ahead

Here's a writeup I posted on my other trading journal on BabyPips.

So,

I think retuning our mindset and our strategy is so important, because when you get used to trading the strategy, you would start getting complacent and begin to forget the roots and reasons why your strategy exist, and why you chose to use this or that indicator in the first place.

I believe that this occurs to newer traders and very often. I know, because it occured to like that in my previous years of trading, and even now. Just the last trade I took was as so.

I began narrowing the space between the S&R levels, to try to squeeeeze out whatever profit there is available, instead of acknowledging the fact that this strategy isn’t working, in this market condition at all.

It isn’ by choice, but due to being out of tune with yourself. You are trading like a robot, but at the same time, not at the accuracy of a robot.

That’s why many folks like to trade EA.

But if you are a discretionary trader like I am, it is vital that you retune your mindset, your strategy and give yourself AND your strategy a break when you and the market and the vehicle you are driving needs a break.

A break is good.

by the way, here’s a video I just made. I spotted 4 JPY pairs that has just broke out and I am looking to capitalise on that move if an opportunity presents itself.

Second consecutive Stop Loss. Protective mechanism triggered.


I have to do what I should do now, which is to RUN. After 3 months of hitting, now is time to run. I could have gotten more, and held on to more during the hitting phase, but when you know better, you do better.

It all boils down to experiencing getting punched in the face consecutively first, to know how it feels like, and how much you would not want to get punched in the face.

It's a PRO-CESS. Without getting into the CESS(pool), the PRO in you wouldn't be formed and evolved.

I wanna note that, it doesn't feel good losing, but I have been using thinking techniques that I realised over the years of trading, to relieve the mental muscle tension. It is like a foam roller but for the mind.

Now that the bad times are here, I didn't react to it like how I used to. The pain is physical when you lose, cos you feel it physically. You lose sleep over it, you keep checking on your phone, thinking about it every second. But now, it feels like an ant's bite. Not a red ant of course.

I will be back to trading on the 22nd onwards, to tide out this contrarian market condition that I do not trade in.

Leave the depths to the treacherous Meranths, I can find all I need in the shallows.
