It is always good to see someone consistent with a solid renko candlestick strategy.
I understand what you mention about being busy with other concerns but much encouragement!!
I'm glad you're back, meanwhile I'll continue working on my system and eventually posting my progress and mistakes

Davidh, what hours do you operate the GER30?

I can tell you don't trade the opening of the london market. I have that doubt that you have probably already resolved, but I would like to know the time with which you feel most comfortable to do operations.

Hi JaimeAlejan,
I try to trade early on the London open, usually start looking at around 8.30, yesterday most of my trades were before 10am UK time. After 10 the European market is often very slow until the US open which I guess is when you start. I do trade after the US open but not for long, depends when I've got my run in I'll try and post a trade or two today

well, today in the morning I tried the good Dave's strategy, after backtesting for several months of the DAX at a certain time (an hour and a half before the opening of the American market) I noticed that it is a solid strategy only taking into account action of the price and important levels, in my case previous supports and resistances and price accumulation with the wonderful renko candlestick generator of MathTrader7.

Although my first trade went negative because of my impatience, I was able to make two profitable trades using Dave's strategy.

the red lines show the period in which I watch the market and then get ready to go to work, I will be testing the strategy all month of July with this $5,000 demo account.

I will keep posting my results. Cheers

Thanks to MathTrader for providing the Renko generator for mt4. I could successfully install the Renko EA on my mt4 for mac.
The procedure is simple. The documents folder of windows wine is the same as the macOS documents folder. So just by moving the EA from downloads folder to macOS documents folder we will ale to see the file in the wine documents.
From there it is a simple copy and paste from documents(of wine) to the metatrader mql4 > experts folder.
I am happy it worked because i could do nothing with tradinview renko bars. I paid for premium membership only to understand that it is repainting.

Nice one JaimeAlejan! Keep working on it, patience will reward eventually! I can't honestly say that I have a clear strategy, I trade when the market has "open" spaces, Renko is good for identifying areas of consolidation and micro S/R. keep working at it! Cheers, Dave

Today morning at the same time as on Friday I opened a sale operation after seeing how the price broke supports.

today morning one op on BE and one with 15 pips (renko 5 pips)

yesterday I didn't trade because I fell asleep (I check the market at 5:00 am for myself) today I got up a little late and I missed some potential trades with the strategy from the red line, but the day was positive.


the plan is to see if after this month's results, apply for a funding test
