Other xxx/USD pairs went down a lot yesterday. Maybe everyone's afraid of what the FOMC minutes will do on release and they want to get ahead of things... or not.

I am still on sideline .. no desire to catch the falling knife... missed early shorts at London open..
atm.. day range low is 1.0169 and month range low 1.0124.. keep that in mind..

But it's just minutes. Why would FOMC minutes cause such huge dump? No press conference from Powell and it is usually just a regurgitation of the past FOMC meeting.

possible swiss scalp may be setting up 9687/70 tp 9723.. It it drops directly now to that entry.. 9594 is there Not enough for me. ,, I try for more reward.. But I miss trades.. Just like earlier.

It appears to be still going up.. When NY starts it usually will fall some. On that fall of maybe 30 pips.. It may allow entry..

When I see the pundits' FOMC commentary, I feel like I'm watching someone reading tea leaves (I'm clueless in most cases)... and fairly often, someone reads between the lines, which in turn, leads to a story/rumor that leads to crazy price movement. It's not the minutes: it's the spin that leads to a rumor that leads to crazy stuff - happens a lot. It's always a surprise to me.

Prices seem to get "adjusted" prior to events/news releases. Why? ...maybe to increase someone's take on a very large trade ...to neutralize the effect of some expected event... dunno.

Well, those things only cause spikes. Price movement is predetermined. EU is dropping faster than an anchor.
