Print( "current time =", CurTime() ); // nv
and the info printed out in the experts tab agrees with the numbers in Col. A of the spread sheet. I decided to attach the spreadsheet this time. Could someone try to read column A. Maybe my excel has a problem. It is probably me though. Both excel files should be the same. Thanks

They are identical in values. one has column A in scientific notation. Select all values in that column A and click Format in upper menu, then click Cells, then select Number tab, then select Number in Category pane, then set decimal to 0 and then click OK.

The problem with the date field is it that it is in unix format, or something. Google 'date/epoch converter'. The number you have is the number of seconds from Jan 1st 1970 00:00 hours. I have an excel formula that converts date to epoch, but not the otherway

 seconds from epoch = ((A3-25569)*86400)+(B3*3600)+(C3*60)+D3

where A = date in mm/dd/yyyy format
B = Hour
C = Minutes
D = Seconds

I think MQ4 has a built in converter as well, just have to look in the resource book.

This EA only looks up account info, you can slap it into any unused chart. Every time that chart recieves a quote tick it will check the equity and balance, etc... So pick a chart that has a good volume

Thank you for your kind help. However the attached indicator shows only 2 bands with very tiny arrows of position taken. No MACD or other indicator. Any possibility to change the size of the arrow and have the template that shows full detail on your trading chart.

FireBird produces those signals when it trades; that is not a separate indicator. Below the main trading window, you see a MACD indicator.

Try adding the indicator attached below which provides the band FireBird uses for trading. This is an indicator not an expert, so save appropriately.

I sent you two messages.

In the first message (page 103, post#1531) I responded to your request for a chart. Thus the FIRST message contained a chart for the FireBird EA that shows "lines" representing market price (buy or sell) and profit level for trades executed by the FireBird EA. Also included with that chart was a MACD indicator that I use.

You then requested an indicator. The indicator I sent you in the second message (page 103, post#1534) has 2 "bands" that FireBird uses for trading. You must apply this indicator to your chart that has FireBird running on it. Once FireBird executes a trade you will see everything on one chart (except the MACD unless you add it).

Sorry, should have provided clarification. Just open up an additional chart and apply this EA. It won't interfere with FB. It simply logs account info (e.g. balance, equity, margin).

Hi

1) With glenn5t's help, I have FB v63G-TS trading on a demo FXLQ (MultiBank Trader) which allows mini (1K) lots. It would not operate in FXDD 10K lots. Can this be achieved in FXDD for instance?

2) When trading several pairs in the same account is there any special requirement, like a new labelling for the EA, or is it straightforward as is.

I'm glad to see that skyline's request to edit details is being considered by Merlin. Up-to-date summaries can really help tired old eyes.

Hi, I am getting an error message trying to search the forum, please excuse if this has been asked before.

I have a demo account with North Finance Co., and I did not find out what timezone they are in.

How important is that setting, and how could I find out?

FireBird Results

FireBird closed only one trade for 5 pips in the last 36 hours. Currently carrying a -$1,600.00 float and $900 of that is the loon. I still expect each trade to become profitable.

Please understand that people on this thread get tired of reposting settings over and over and over again. There are settings on the 1st page of this thread. And if you will read this thread, you will find other settings and explanations.

I am running Firebirdv63G-TS on a 5 min chart. I am using a 15 min timeframe. Stoploss is at 300 and pipstep is set at 37. I am trading AUDUSD, GPBUSD, and EURUSD.

I had originally put Phoenix on this live account but it went down quickly. Firebird has almost made up my loss in two days. For me these settings are perfect because I have almost no float and right now the float I have is positive.
