Just a random question that been in my mind
Since ftmo uses wise (previously wisetransfer) to send money and make bank transfers, why don't you just add wise as direct payment option ? Like you have skrill, wise now allow transfers between wise accounts, with 0 fees and it's instant transfer, it would be much better for ftmo to add it as a direct payment option

What made up rule (that has nothing to do with trading) do you speak of? Do you have any idea how much this company is paying out monthly? Folks failing challenges are the same one's that will repeatedly deposit and blow up their personal accounts. Only difference with these firms is you have 20-24 times the money to trade with than you would a personal account IF SUCCESSFUL. Yes, I am only talking about the max loss they allow, not the equity. Pay $500, pass, you now have $100K with 10% DD (10K)
Option A : Deposit $500 in personal account
Option B: Pay a prop firm $500
IF YOU CANNOT TRADE, both options result in a loss of $500
IF YOU CAN TRADE, and you duplicate the same exact risk size and trades (relative to allowable loss in each), after completing the targets of phase 1 and phase 2, Option A will yield $1,500 in personal account, option B will yield 100K with 10K allowable loss. Option A will require 8-9 months OF LEAVING MONEY IN TO COMPOUND to get to that same 10K, while you are pulling profits for all of those months with a prop firm.
The key here is the fee is refunded, so if you reinvest your refunded fee and/or profits, duplicate across 4-5 of these firms, no way personal account can ever even come close to the earnings from these firms.

It is relevant. I know many people keep singing the praises of prop firms but do not even have a single "LIVE account".

My first two weeks trail is passed by NeverGP EA

FTMO (and other prop firms) pride themselves as "finding talents". Using an EA is a sure way to lose your FTMO rights.

hey hazelj..... hope all is well with yall..... do you have any experience with ftmo...... the challenge requirements seem realistic and achievable.....

it took some time but i found what you were referring to on ftmo's site..... to be honest, that sounds practical..... as long as the end result is the same, can't see the difference.....

the leader board seems dominated by only a few country's..... would have not thought that.....h

My doubt is why suspend them if they all are making profit without drawdown ?

( btw I am planning to trading with EA by manual intervention so there is no same strategy )

-Liquidity/slippage, presumably.

Personally, I think that FTMO and others could remove the maximum allocation rules by requiring that the accounts be traded separately. Then, just set limits on how much capital can be traded at one time, either by way of merged accounts, EA's and trade copiers etc.. It serves the same purpose, but allows good traders access to more capital, much faster. The mitigation procedures are likely already in place for it.

No real experience with the challenge because I'm doing the free trials until I get the setups I want right.great they offer them so you don't go wasting money on challenges

Low spreads are good for scalping for sure. If I was swing trading I'd just trade with a broker but that's personal opinion.

If they're not encouraging holding trades during the news or weekends and rather you close trades by rollover that's definitely encouraging day trading unless you get a swing account made specifically for swing trading

couple points you have mentioned forced me to look closer..... the more i look into it the better it appears.....

the true challenge, for me, will be overcoming my aversion to risk..... my average lot size is quite small.....

so the only challenge will be me......h

yeah the risk percentage that i use allows me to lose 40 trades in a row before the daily limit loss is hit. sounds easy but that depends on how frequent you trade...
