In the 2022 mentorship, ICT states that the terms Break Of Structure (BOS) and Market Structure Shift (MSS) can be used interchangeably. ICT 2022 mentorship.

I watched the Tradeguider video of the live trading room where the trader was trading a 1 minute chart looking to get a couple of pips and then get out. Then I watched the ICT video and he traded a 1 minute chart and was looking to capture the entire day's range.

I concluded that if one truly knew how to read the chart, one would not be going for a couple of pips and calling it legendary.

Thank you for reminding me that I started this journal to hold myself accountable; not hostage.

I had to step away from the combine because I needed to fix some things about myself, and because I couldn't seem to "make the Model work". I'm not going to disparage the method as I know it works in the right hands, just not in mine.

So along with fixing those things about myself, I had to ask myself, "HG what do you know to be true?".

What I know to be true:

(1) Markets move on Supply and Demand.
(2) Volume is activity.
(3) Any true "Smart Money" concept has to incorporate volume, since volume is where the Smart Money's footprints are seen.
(4) Trend matters
(5) Prediction is not necessary.
(6) Losses are a part of trading. It's not about losing less, it's about losing better.
(7) You're winners have to gain more than your losses because you likely will have more losers than winners. See 6.

I'm planning to start a new combine or challenge in July.

Can you fit market to the model and volume ? Who can you get total volume ? There is no central exchange for FX.

Hes using tick volume.

The way he trades, he doesn't need exchange volume. Climatic volume will be the same on tick volume or exchange volume, moves on increasing or decreasing volume will be more or less the same on both types of volume. When looking at individual volume bars between tick and real there will be some differences, but on both types you can still easily tell if price is being moved on low volume or high volume.

Tick volume of what ? FXCM.COM ? How must of if is total market volume ?
Does Smart Money use ONADA.COM for trading ?

When you started trading ICT concepts with volume, I tought you were looking at different perspective as your use of WRB but when one day show you remove all together the volume I tought something strange was goign on. I have seen post of you more than 10 years back and all had volume,

I asked you why remove it and you mentioned that the guy from ICT goes for whole days range and that the peopel at tarderguider goes for few pips. I dont see why that makes a trader or a system better than the other, that to me is like saying that Im better than you because Im a long term trader and you scalp or the other way around. One of the commercial things that they sell at ICT is the simplicity and the massive moves, when you trade live the trades dont pan out as simple as in his examples

Im not the best trader on the world but I still believe that volume will always have a place in trading and I will always take into account at the end whter is tick real volume or whatever it is at the end is the activity of traders and that is always important.

Anyway happy that you show the light at the end of the tunnel.

What you're thinking about is real volume, for how he trades he doesn't need real volume.

Real Volume = Total number of shares/contract/lots traded over a given time period.

Tick volume = Indicator that counts how much price fluctuates over a given time period. I.E. If price ticks up 0.1 pip that would equal 1 tick volume, if price then moved down 0.2 pips the total tick volume would be 3.

Use your favorite search engine "Forex Tick Volume". There is a lot of information out there about it.

Do you think one of the issues might have been possibly that you were trying to incorporate ICT and VSA at the same time? Just going by the fact that they are two opposing theories?

You've submitted a number of years to VSA so it does make sense to stick with what you know.

It would be interesting to see one or two of the trades that let you down in the end, just for further analysis/learning.

I think contrary, in the sense that if you look for areas where the price may turn being ICT, S/D, support or resistance or whoever you want to call them, I actually think that they are all the same with different names, the use of VSA is very good because it can tell you if is going to really reverse which is the problem with those strategies that you dont know which ones are going to work or not. But that is just y opinion.

Actually I think that VSA can go hand in hand with any strategy and make it better
