Happy Friday traders,
Welcome to the last update of the month of May. I don’t have much to disclose today, so let’s get straight into it:

Starting with platform information, on Monday, 30 May 2022, due to the Memorial Day, the following changes to the regular trading hours will apply:

 

  1. GER40.cash, UK100.cash, EU50.cash, and FRA40.cash will close early at 11:00 pm;
  2. US30.cash, US100.cash, US500.cash, US2000.cash, and JP225.cash will close early at 8:00 pm;
  3. Gold (XAU) Silver (XAG) and NATGAS.f will close early at 9:30 pm;
  4. USOIL.cash, and UKOIL.cash, will close early at 8:00 pm;
  5. US Shares, XPTUSD and XPDUSD will be closed all day;
  6. HK50.cash will close early at 10:00 pm;
  7. USTN10.f and DX.f will close early at 8:00 pm.

As usual, all times are expressed in the MetaTrader server time (GMT+3/CEST+1).

Secondly, due to Spring Bank Holiday, UK100.cash will be closed on Thursday, 2 Jun 2022, and Friday, 3 Jun 2022. For the same reason, HK50.cash will be closed on Friday, 3 Jun 2022.

You might have already noticed that we have added another small, yet handy feature to your Account MetriX. From now on, all trades in your Trading Journal display your profit or loss in pips and also the duration of the trade.

Hello Metcalfe, as far as I know, no such programme is currently considered. Although I understand your point that it may get quite tough to meet the 10% Profit Target in one month, you can still extend your FTMO Challenge by another 14 extra days if you have at least 5% profit 3 days before your FTMO Challenge expires and moreover, there’s always the free repetition option. We’re therefore not pressuring our traders or forcing them to lose responsibility. And of course, once you get your FTMO Account, there are no Profit Targets whatsoever.

I've just completed my first month with my real FTMO account. The experience was beyond my expectations. Everything was just great. The payment process is extremely fast and reliable. 100000% recommended.
Looks fascinating. According to the information to your website, there are no limits on trading during news events, such as FOMC meeting and also permit holding transactions overnight and on weekends. Is it an accurate statement?

on a swing account if you opt for it, yes. but remember its 1:30 max leverage.
Hi again traders,
here we are with the new month with summer knocking on the door already. Before we take our time off for the weekend, let’s run through the latest FTMO updates.

Due to scheduled maintenance, the cTrader platform will be unavailable for trading on Saturday, 4 Jun 2022 from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm GMT+3/CEST+1. On top of that, please be reminded that cTrader has a different trading hours schedule on Saturdays, therefore kindly manage your trades accordingly.

On Monday, 6 Jun 2022, Amazon stock (AMZN) will perform a stock split in the ratio of 20:1. In order to facilitate the transition process on the platform side, regardless of the account type or stage (FTMO Challenge, Verification, or FTMO Account), all traders are required to close their positions on the symbol before the market close on Friday, 3 Jun 2022. Any position held across the weekend will be closed at the last available price and all pending orders will be deleted. Trading on a split-adjusted basis is expected to resume normally at the standard market open on Monday, 6 Jun 2022.

All times are expressed in the MetaTrader server time (GMT+3/CEST+1).

As usual, additional improvements to the Client Area were made as well. Among the already present English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, Czech, and Vietnamese Client Area localizations, we just added Italian as well.

Hi Ak386, we actually do, however, it might not be easy to spot it at the first glance. The 14-day extension is mentioned here in our FAQs, however, we will most likely put it on our homepage as well. Thank you for pointing that out!

Hello Pietro1245, Hazelj80 below is 100% correct. With the Swing account type, you can trade all the news and there are no limits on holding your positions. To offset the risks however, the leverage is reduced to 1:30.

I have passed the challenge phase at a 100% precision rate. . I will keep you A all updated. If I can do it so can any disciplined trader.

Kaizen In these 10 years I have seen very beautiful accounts, I have also seen lose everything, I also learned not to celebrate in public, just be careful, good luck!

You are somewhat correct. I want FTMO to be better because many firms are intentionally aiming directly at FTMO and have better programs than FTMO. If FTMO doesn't get better than they will meet the same fate as dinosaurs. I just want FTMO to be better! They can be better, they can offer competitive programs but they refuse! Yes FTMO is great, secure, serious and reliable as you mentioned but many and there are many, are are INTENTIONALLY and DIRECTLY competing with FTMO and offer CHEAPER and BETTER funding models than FTMO and I see, from the many communities that I am, that more and more traders are CHOOSING to go with these other firms because of the reasons I've mentioned. I don't want FTMO to go anywhere but if they want to survive, they need to listen to traders more often and see what their competition is doing and COMPETE and ADAPT. FTMO is quickly becoming a dinosaur and will meet the fate of the dinosaurs if they remain stubborn. I don't want to see that happen, which is why I give them a hard way to go but I'm only being honest! I hope anyone that sees this understands my point and see where I am coming from.

Yesterday and today was "HUGE"!! The GBP/JPY broke through the Weekly Fibonacci 38.2% (¥165.673) and today finally it broke through the Monthly Fibonacci 38.2% (¥168.104) took forever! And it did not stop there, it went on ahead the pierced the Daily Fibonacci 61.8% (¥168.467) today. A good day indeed.

Firm believer in Pivot Points (Fibonacci Pivot Points). I utilize Monthly, Weekly and Daily F.P.P. I only trade GBP/NZ, AUD, JP & Euro/NZ,AU,JP with my primary being EURO & GBP / JPY plenty of movement.

There is a "Massive" amount of pissing and moaning on this thread though. I have taken the test twice. First time blew through it in a couple of hours ( I believe). The second time I was literally within a tad less than two thousand away, got stupid. Stop acting like a Bravo India Tango Charlie Hotel.

Mdot grow the Foxtrot Uniform Charlie Kilo up... boohoo... nobody loves me, make it easier to let me in. If you do not like FTMO fine, nobody and I mean nobody is forcing you here. Just because you are NOT proficient enough to be a FTMO trader, look in the mirror you'll see what the problem is. If you want to go trade with the five percenter's (5%) go for it. I'm staying with the one percenter's (1%) of the one percenter's (0.0001) . You whiny LOSER. I willing to bet you are one of those kids that grew up and everybody got a trophy for just showing up.

Obviously you've read my past post and obviously you clearly don't understand the point I am making even though I clearly stated it in my last post. I don't go back and forth with people on the Internet so I won't be responding to anything else you say. I prefer to talk man to man, face to face which you should be thanking whoever your God is that we are not face to face right now because GUARANTEED...I would knock your teeth out of your mouth for calling me out of my name and disrespecting me.

By the way, I am CURRENTLY trading a $400k FTMO account. Now go play in traffic.

Thanks for the response but I must state that I am robotic in what I do.
I agree with you , but in my almost 14 years of losing and trying to perfect this thing called trading , I have learned a few tricks of the trade , like my discipline to a point where , at this stage of my trading , nothing can prevent me from doing otherwise besides what I have done to achieve my present results and celebration of it. I Should add that i have repeated this same results four times , so I am confident that its not a fluke .. I wish you and all the BEST.

Granted every firm has its own rules and regulations , per your view, what else would you want to see them do in terms of evolution . I am just curious as to what else could be available to a serious trader besides what has been offered already ??
