Does anyone know howto fix this ellipse drawing fault? This is when I pull from point A to B

The problem is not clear to me.

There are 4 points on that, say like directions, North, South like your A to B

Try to drag the West to East points, what happens?

Here is a tip, when posting a chart as an example of a situation, please clear everything else off the chart

Make the focus on the exact problem.

You can always save a Template to put all the drawings back, or just open an extra plain chart for a few minutes.

When pull from C to D I get this. not a thin slice ellipse, I expect, but a high one. So my MT4 pull points are the two at the side not from pol to pol


pull A TO B I get the red ellipse
pull C to D I get grey

I'm still slightly confused, how do you expect an ellipse to look like?

when I pull from A to B the poles are @A and @B, the tummy thinly is in the middle, should not wider then distance pole to pole, like you want to hint price would pullback to the zone @ level B, you use ellipse to mark on chart. Until before yesterday, I can draw like that then suddenly yesterday the fault happened, fault with all MT4s, I have different suites for ICM, AXI, FTMO, etc. as if a common setting in window has changed

There was an update, perhaps they changed the defaults for drawing tools, haven't noticed it myself.

I thought you just wanted to wind me up ... with how I expect an ellipse would be....

Pls try to draw ellipse and let me know, could you draw the red ellipse from A to B like in my prev msg with one move, or on your MT4 fail too? Now, to draw it, I have to pull, to turn, to adjust, xtimes until I can fit it between A and B .... a nuisance task

a new update of SW???? could be a bug version

have you seen my questions on the thread https://www.forexfactory.com/thread/...7#post14000797, I found the SL and TP setting were wrong-way-round, who run auto ea will fail badly ... I just found since yesterday ... could you check on your MT4, If you not pull SL, TP on the chart but use ea then your trade would be cut off early exactly because the opposite setting

I don't have an explanation for your ellipse problem, but this script can overcome your inconvenience..

why they update? the Metatrader company announced last year that they no more support MT4

Could you pls check you can draw ellipse from the tool bar, and use the MT4 tools to change SL, TP? if chose 50 pips 50pips then you see easily if MT4 does it opposite way round ...

This is important to know because many bots would blow up accounts today, because they keep closing and open new trades due to this non-sense setting ... the tighter the SL the more deadly they burn accounts

1. Yes, Ellipse is just a line first, then have to adjust it. I never used it before, so I take your word for it that it changed.
