FX Cyborg was found in an Australian supermarket arguing with people lol.....I was in his group i knew everything,this thread is nothing but ICT in her own terminology,YT has it all 2022 mentorship lol....they all wanna be ICT.

Lol.. FXcyborg. I was in his discord group some years ago. I think these guys start out with good intentions because they had a wonderful strategy, but give thr market just enough time and it will unpack every strategy; everyone of them! And then when things go south these guys get confused and disappear. Lol...

So what was the argument in the Australian supermarket all about? Please tell me it was about football or something else but forex?

I think the end of this story (thread) will be some kind of mentorship program or similar, like fxcyborg 's story was.

Reading your post and your explanation, I want to add another dimension when trading this (or, any) approach. It's called "context".
Because reading that you wouldn't have taken the trade because of the R:R thing, is very one-dimensional and completely misses the point as to what is going on this NZD chart.

Of course, it depends on how experienced you are in the markets, you just seemed to join but I reckon you've been watching the markets for longer than that.

First, here is your initial screenshot:

I have highlighted the high you chose, that you labeled "true high". No, it's not, there are other more obvious previous highs, but it's fine if you chose that one, that's not the point here. The other blue line on the right is your BO bar low.

So, if you're awake at the open of the next bar (6:00 am my broker time), and see this in real time, here's what I would be thinking:
- The previous hourly bar was the red news release on the central bank rate. First element in the context, as it's currently one of the most volatile and anticipated news release, i.e. when volume kicks in, and at least short-term directions are chosen.

- That H1 bar (BTW, the 2nd largest H1 bear bar of the year, after the 31th Jan) is clearly a hugh pinbar rejection, taking out the highs of the previous 5 days. That's another point to add to the context, when you get such a huge rejection, grabbing liquidity above a few day's high, especially in context of central bank rates, you know there's fuel for a (probable) big move. Also, that H1 bar closes strongly bearish (very little wick to the downside), so you expect continuation from your decision point which is the open of the next H1 bar.

-Knowing that I don't want a 60 pips stop on that setup (nearly the day's ADR!), I go down a TF, and switch to the M15 TF, to see how I can manouvre this setup.

Your decision point is the start of the new hour, here with the green line. The purple horizontal line at the bottom is what you marked as your target.

I have attached 2 scenarios which could enable you to actually take the trade.
The first one is simply taking another obvious level as your SL, that I have marked, either the Asian session high prior to the news, or the previous day's high. The latter is more conservative, which is not always the best option in high momentum moves (you miss out on some R:R).

The second would be in case you're scared of entering potentially at the bottom of a move, so wait for a pullback on this shorter TF. In this case, you get an entry a bit below, after the first 2 M15 bars confirm that the momentum is still very strong to the downside.



Bottom line is, when you put all the pieces together on that setup, there is no reason to expect price to go back up the H1 rejection candle. If you're wrong and volume fades away right after your entry, you know it way before price reaches 0.8710 again.
Also, a good thing to keep in mind, on strong rejection levels even without central bank announcements, for example when a big enough pool of liquidity is taken out at a specific point in time: price doesn't usually fuck about, it has chosen a direction, it will go there (for a long enough time for you to make a profit).
