Market expecting a weak empire release, so the report has to surprise on the downside to trigger more USD selling.

true, the consensus is weak, and i expect it will come out lower than expected, coupled with yesterdays news, i cant see any reason to go short on the eur/usd. And with comments of a rate cut made on bloomberg, its going to take some going to get below the 1.2800 mark, which as i said there is a lot of support at that level


Its only my humble opinion, but i have 20 pips in the bag so far!

Why we can't predict the market? Yes you can predict the market using technical analysis e.g using fibo, trendlines hmm what else? But there is a ghost in the market Do you want to know who? "FUNDAMENTAL" is the ghost!

So you need to be friendly with both of them TA and FA. Make them in love with you Then you will get the pips.

Depending on my profit goal...for my first 30 pips i use a 23 pip stop loss

Whats all the shorts going to do when the US news comes out. I have to go to work in 45 minutes. Right now I feel pretty good with 90 some pips I got. Not bragging just feeling good.

Target was hit already. Ofcourse that would be good for the day given GBPUSD might be slightly oversold in intraday charts, well.. there's tomorrow

that was a surprise, thankfully i managed to close the trade on time, didnt catch any pips on the downward movement, not sure if the usd/gbp is gonna break the 1.8850 will wait and see before going back in, i am still biased towards a buy on the eur/usd and the usd/gbp

if you look at daily charts you see that on Monday a strong resistance (three months and a half res) was hit and cable is rallying down maybe to 1.8670 (last support) or even 1.8595???

also look at the double top - lowest point crossed yesterday. in conclusion there is a possibility that you are trying to trade against the trend.

Also I see that today at 6,45 NY Time was hit an important MA- 62 daily - so news at 8.30 NYT could tell us all - will there be a bounce or a strong break down.

Euro - almost the same thing - look at DAILY charts first.

yes dot it all helps, i trade news consensus then either ride the release, or close the trade, on ever 25-50 pips each time, and yes trading against a trend is never a good idea which is why i am waiting, and may wait until after the fomc minutes release before getting in again. either on the release or on the retracement for a sell
