FTMO - For serious traders

Are u a russian in uk who just moved there but opened an account from russia with russian identification ? only russian citizens are banned from accessing FTMO right now

i have something quite simmilar ...
today i couldnt connect to my ctrader platform...ctrader id or pass is not good.
im waiting for support to answer me, but it is strange, since is the first time in more than 1 year...

and by the way, im not from Russia....but close, Romania

No connection with russia at all. I am asian living in Uk for last 10 years.
It is too early to draw any coclusion , i have to wait for their official respone.
I just want to know from members what are the circumstances i can loose ftmo account. Breach of contract happens under following circumstances1) Trade within 2 minutes of restricted news event on stated instruments. 2) Breach daily loss limit of 5 % & 3) Breach of total capiral of 10%. AND I HAVE NOT breached any of above stated rules as per contract.
Is there any other hidden rules that members are aware of , we need to know.

Thank you, Yes that's true.
But when they block account without any contact doubt arises. Are we really dealing with guniune business? will they honour what they have promised? What good is any contract for that matter.
I live in uk,so if someone ask me to check about any business i can do that with ease. I know how business are run in Uk. But they are located in czech.
This is community & i was trying to understand overall experience from other members. If i try to explain this to my friends and family , they will laugh at me. Only people i can share experiences are with fellow traders. Thats all . Sorry i was not trying for any sortcut way.

you better give them some time.

#2 and #3 are the most misunderstandood rules:
Breach of the daily loss limit of 5% includes the floating loss when the orders are open. The same applies to the maximum loss %.
It's best to set yourself a "cushion" in the Mentor app to alert you when approaching those loss limits.

Question for Vitek ftmo ,

I do not see usd/sgd available for trading, is there a reason it is not avaiable ? can it be added on request ?

Are crypto pairs restricted pairs during news events or is it only traditional currency pairs?

This is what my algos have built in since day traders mostly have a loss limit or they should already know how to trade like this and get a free trial and practice. i havent traded CFDs in YEARS but now im messing around with them on their free trials and i like the results. just need to get this thing under control and keep it from going crazy because of so many nice price moves with really low spreads.

Hello all! Do you now the rules to pass the challenge with swing trades? same % profit drawdown etc? I cant find it on the website

the challenges are all the same. its just when you pass you have to ask for a swing account and the leverage goes down to 1:30 i asked them this in chat

Are the rules the same once the challenge is passed?

on a swing account, yes the rules are the same but your total leverage isnt 1:100 like a normal or aggressive its 1:30 and you can also get a swing account in normal or aggressive

I’m happy to be back for another Friday update here on ForexFactory. We’ve had rather a calm week, but that does not mean that there would not be any updates that you should be aware of, so let’s dive right in.

On Sunday, 13 Mar 2022, the platform time on MT4/5 will shift from the current GMT+2 to GMT+3. However, it will not be until Sunday, 27 Mar 2022 that the switch from the actual CET (GMT+1) to CEST (Central European Summer Time), GMT+2, will become effective in Europe. Kindly manage your trades according to the fact that your Max Daily Loss resets at midnight CE(S)T. The symbols specification and trading hours table below will be expressed in GMT+3 as the new platform time. Please note that European Equities’ trading hours will be shifted 1h ahead according to the new GMT+3 notation.

We have scheduled extended maintenance on our cTrader platform, planned for Saturday, 12 Mar 2022 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm platform time (GMT+2/CET+1). Trading will be halted during the above-specified timespan. Be reminded that cTrader has an additional maintenance timeframe on Saturdays. Therefore, kindly manage your trades accordingly.

And as usual, our IT department has prepared another tiny, yet handy feature. From now on, you can export our economic calendar for the upcoming week both in Excel and CSV formats for fast access. Also, I would like to remind you that all the upcoming news events are also included in our FTMO Quick Trade Manager too.

Hello Sedak, upon a quick search, I have managed to find your case in our records. You’ve paid for your FTMO Challenge on the 14th September 2021, and we have provided you with the respective FTMO Challenge which you received and utilized. However, the transaction was later cancelled through the payment facilitator and reversed from our account, which means that you’ve used your FTMO Challenge without any money being credited to our account.
When that came to our attention, your registration has been temporarily suspended. As we have informed you about the situation and the payment was been settled later on, we granted you back access to your trading account.

Hello Rayder4Life, I have cleared the issue in my previous response, but also, I would like to add that citizens from Russian Federation can still sign up for FTMO, however, we’re not able to send out payouts to RF until the current sanctions are lifted.

Hi Bradu, thank you for sending me your FTMO Challenge number, I have spoken to my colleagues from the IT department and received an explanation. On the 6th of March 2022 you were not able to login into your cTrader trading platform, this was due to the unexpected emergency measure initiated by the provider of the services which in turn caused some traders to be unable to log in into their trading platform from 11:30 to approx. 12:30 CET. As a part of compensation, we’ve added an extra trading day to all the affected traders.

Hi mattmcreadie, USD/SGD is currently not present in our trading platforms as the demand for it was very low. However, we are aware of a few requests and the currency pair will be considered for adding as a part of future improvements.

Hello Hazelj80, cryptocurrencies are not restricted from trading during any news events. The restrictions apply only to 7 forex pairs and Crude oil. The full list is available here.

Hello Bacco, once you pass our Evaluation Process, Max Daily Loss and Max Loss limits remain unchanged. However, there is no longer a minimum of required trading days or any Profit Target. Also, if you are trading on a normal FTMO Account (not Swing account type), you must close your positions if the market closes for more than 2 hours and you also must not trade during the restricted events mentioned in my previous response. If you choose the Swing account type instead, you may hold your positions for as long as you wish and you can also trade during all the news releases. However, the leverage in the Swing account type is reduced to 1:30 to protect us from excessive exposure.

let's take this one truly briefly. It seems that all the questions were responded in my previous post, and as there were no issues and nor any new features published, I'll just share one important and equally good update.

FromMonday, 21 Mar all Swiss francs-related assets (CHF) will have the margin requirement reverted to the standard leverage. The leverage on CHF assets will be increased to 1:100 for normal account types and 1:30 for Swing account types. This will affect new and existing positions starting on traditional markets open on Monday, 21 Mar, at 00:00 am MT4/5 platform time (GMT+3), or 10:00 pm CE(S)T on Sunday, 20 Mar. Therefore, if you have currently open positions on CHF, please make sure to manage them accordingly.
