I hope you’re doing all well, here we are with another ForexFactory FTMO Update. I apologize for my absence last week, the situation in Ukraine and the coalesced development on financial markets got us extraordinarily busy and for once, I did not manage to find a time to write the regular update. While we’re there, I would like to say that at FTMO, we stay by the people of Ukraine affected by the war and we are further extending our help. Besides the €1 million we’ve donated to the NGOs helping directly in Ukraine, our FTMO Traders will now be able to help as well - but more on that later. First, let’s dig into the latest platform updates.
On Sunday, 13 Mar 2022, the platform time on MT4/5 will shift from the current GMT+2 to GMT+3. However, it will not be until Sunday, 27 Mar 2022 that the switch from the actual CET (GMT+1) to CEST (Central European Summer Time), GMT+2, will become effective in Europe. Kindly manage your trades according to the fact that your Max Daily Loss resets at midnight CE(S)T. More information regarding the trading hours on the available instruments will be provided with the next update.
We have scheduled maintenance on our MetaTrader platforms MT4 and MT5, planned for Saturday, 05 Mar 2022 from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm platform time (GMT+2/CET+1). Trading will be halted during the above-specified timespans. Therefore, kindly manage your trades accordingly.
Trading on RUB pairs (EUR/RUB and USD/RUB) will be suspended starting from Thursday, 24 February 2022 at 6:00 pm platform time (GMT+2 / CET +1) until further notice due to exposure risks and low liquidity at the present moment. The symbols will be set to Close-Only mode with immediate effect in order to allow traders to exit their current position. It will not be possible to open new positions. All open positions after 6:00 pm (GMT+2 / CET +1) will be automatically closed.
Moving onto other news - Autochartist is now available to all our active traders trading their FTMO Challenge/Verification/FTMO Account! We’ve partnered with Autochartist which I’m sure many of you are familiar with. The exclusive tool technically analyses the market and informs the trader about the forming patterns, market movements, support/resistance levels & much more. The App is available both in the Client Area and directly in the trading platform as well.
And finally, I would like to come back to the previously mentioned way that our FTMO Traders can help the people affected by the war in Ukraine. From now on, every FTMO Trader can donate a portion of their payout to the NGOs helping the affected people: International Red Cross Committee and People in Need. We made sure to pick the most reputable NGOs that provably help where it’s needed the most. We are already starting to see FTMO Traders sharing their profits, and we would like to deeply thank them for their kindness.
There were quite a few comments since my last post, so let’s now move towards them.
Hi ChilledT, you’re right. Now, that does not mean I want this thread to shift to an endless show-off of platform screenshots, but nevertheless, I think sharing a good trade here and there can only be beneficial inspiration for all of us.
Hello Bcaudill, I’m glad you have not faced any issues, but it is fair to say that you’re responding to a comment from 2017. Back then, our international project FTMO was just at the beginning and although we always made sure to have all the legal necessities covered, I can understand the skepticism that some traders held towards us.
Hello SoulSatori, considering it’s been over a month now, I’m pretty sure you’ve already received a response from my colleagues. Anyway, I would like to make a public response so also other members can see how we proceed in such cases.
If you hold a position on your FTMO Account (not FTMO Account Swing) overnight or over the weekend (generally if the market closes for more than 2 hours), it, unfortunately, means a direct breach of the FTMO Account Agreement that you’ve agreed to before we provided you with your FTMO Account.
However, our goal remains the same and as you have proven your qualities during the Evaluation Process, instead of taking the FTMO Account away from you, we will offer you to shift to FTMO Account Swing. You will therefore get to keep an FTMO Account, however, the leverage will be adjusted to 1:30 and you’ll be able to hold your trades overnight/over the weekend and trade during all the news events as well. The result of the position that caused the breach of the Agreement will be deleted.
The same would apply if you would trade during an announcement of restricted news on the affected instrument. However, please note that if you would breach the Agreement for the second time, it would likely result in the complete closure of your FTMO Account.
Hi Amoremia, yes, they are. We use the same trading conditions and same liquidity providers both for our Free Trials and FTMO Challenges/Verifications/FTMO Accounts.
Hello Jezzode, thank you for being helpful to other members here! I would just like to correct your mate’s statement, although LMAX used to be our only provider. Now, we are using an aggregated pool of several liquidity providers to get you the best trading conditions we possibly can.

Hi mike1985, we truly do not want to punish regular traders for the decisions of their government, however, the sanctions imposed by EU (which we are apart of) explicitly restrict us from sending any transactions to people from Russian Federation and Donetsk, Luhansk and Crimea regions. Of course, once the restrictions are lifted, all the payouts will be sent.
Hello darshana1991, although the current situation unquestionably interferes with the markets, each of our traders is still responsible for managing his/her account at their own discretion, and therefore, we can not acknowledge it as a reason to lift any violations created by the trader on their account.

I entered a JP225 trade and didn't think to check for the early closing hours due to the holiday. I have an active account. Will FTMO take away my account due to the weekend/overnight violation? hello, i have a quick question guys, Does the spread in demo are the same in real? ex: gbp/usd 3-5? and is scalping are allowed? thanks for the answer.

HI VITAK We all know that at the moment there is a war between Russia and Ukraine. As I know many traders lost their equity of their challenges because of war, including me. when war is starting I was trading 4 challenges too. I'm lost equity for two of them.. one is a challenge and the other is verification.. the account will expire next Monday. But really hard to increase the equity of accounts on time. do you give us any chance for increasing our equity of challenge? or let us lose our challenge at FTMO. if there is anything new please update...

Received my profit split and deposit refund within 1 business day, which is so unexpected because of the Ukraine Russia war issues I thought FTMO efficiency would be low or busy but no, they are still very efficient and professional in handling customers. Quick and helpful respond from the customer support is what impressed me the most. Benefits in FTMO strongly outweighs the cons. Great liquidity, everything is smooth and spreads are pretty low. On a scale of 10/10, I recommend traders trying FTMO.
