well if someone is ready to take down some russian planes is for sure Erdogan
he did it before so no problem for him and also can say that some of the inflation is because of the war

I agree with you that he is a complete nutter but remember there is a massive presence of US Military - in "Incirlik - Adana" - in south of Turkey. In case he takes the next step, that military base has all the weapons you can think of apart from what Turkish army has. That will be suicide for him.
