The Whitehouse is officially using the word "invasion". That triggers deeper sanctions. News conference to come shortly.

I have no doubt the FED and other CB's, is in this market helping the Euro. Maybe to curtail the energy cost. When in Rome, do like the Romans. Range trade/

On my chart if we get to 1353 we can expect 138 - 139 be careful gator..

If the FED is in the game. Pa will do this. The FED has done this in the past. Germany did put a stop the the NG pipeline. Controlling/weakening the USD comparably would help Germany slow a NG rise. Germany probably requested help with energy pricing. This would be one way to avoid a uncontrolled rise in NG pricing. Energy is still going up for us all. It just will rise more evenly by slowing/stopping a USD rise. They did this a lot in 2007/2008, but opposite in overnight swaps. I think they have been doing this for weeks +. More so yesterday. That little pop in a milli sec yesterday at rollover looked to be the FEd protecting -1324. That area looks to be the line. If it cant go down, it has to rise. at least some.

SNB peg was like this over 1.2, for years.
The FED and ECB may peg like this for a little while. EU trading as you know it, may be over for some time. Controlling energy pricing may be the only way to keep the EZ sanctions on Russia. Holding the EU from dropping would help/stop energy rising in the EZ. Americans would bitch if the U.S. directly subsidized EZ energy. Using the FED is a way to do it less noticeable.

this little pop. I was looking for something after hearing about the Germans pipeline news. The following rollover has this. It dont look like much here. Most whose brokers close at rollover will not notice. This was pretty big on a tick chart. this was a single tick.

I see some Russian speaking areas in Ukraine rallying for Ukraine (anti Putin). The world is mostly condemning Putin. He may have miscalculated his decisions. The world is looking for his, and russian oligarchs personal money. These sanctions will be deeper than ever before. Finding and exposing the stolen Russian money will weaken Putin at home.

And perhaps make him even more reckless, I am afraid. For the sake of the innocent souls that have and are and that will suffer from this, I wish the West and Ukraine would just cede and accept never to join NATO, even though I am completely against that idea as it is their choice. But a snake will bite, and Putin will act no matter what everyone does against his interests; so prefer to think about the suffering that have no choice at all but to pay the price of this power struggle, and which blood will be on the hands of all concerned parties in the end.
If I don't mention SL and/or TP = longer-term setup possibly in the works!

I know but, unfortunately, not nearly enough. As you know, he has been exposed over and over again throughout the years. He is still in power and very much so, and not like any western leader has power...

At this point, all considering, and for the sake of the innocent lives, what needs to be done now is play just enough in his hands, do what it takes to save lives now.

He is going out, that is certain. But not yet. Ukraine still exists and can have more hope in the future if the war does not happen. They could play just enough of his sad and cruel games so he does not leave his power in a hell of fire, but in silence.
