What is orderflow? Is there any good source to learn about it?

After trying out all those stupid lagging flashy indicators and those inconsistent candlestick patterns i finally came to a conclusion. that these thing don't work in long run. i frequently heard about ORDERFLOW trading but didn't pay much attention. Is here anybody successfully learned it from here on forex factory. is there any good source that i can learn it?

Go for chart patterns (eg. flags, triangles), horizontal support/resistance levels, trendlines, bollinger bands.
Also, read books on trading, eg. Currency Trading for Dummies by Kathleen Brooks and Brian Dolan.
Risk Management is of utmost importance!

ORDERFLOW trading, will be expensive to learn.

Typically, you will need a data feed to a centralised exchange, such as CME futures that provides REAL volume data and shows real orders. Around $50 per month just for that.

Then you will need to pay for a platform with good order flow tools. Trading View won't cut the mustard and you can simply forget about doing this sort of thing in MT4. MotiveWave 'Orderflow' will do the job. That'll be another $50 per month.

So, $100 per month outlay.....multiplied by how many months you think it will take you to get competent enough at it, to risk your money in the market....and then what markets are you gonna trade? You can't trade Orderflow on a Forex/cfd broker, cos they don't put out real/accurate volume data. All that I could think of is that you could trade EUREX or CME futures, but erm, you had better have pretty deep pockets if you are going to go in that direction....(epsecially since you are almost guaranteed to lose big a few times to begin with)....I guess you could also look to day trade the more liquid individual stocks, but I don't have any direct experience of that......seems more like a US thing.

There is a good reason why most retail traders don't even bother looking at volume orderflow.

One signed copy of the greatest order flow book ever published "Order Flow Trading For Fun and Profit" by the one and only Daemon Goldsmith.
'Darkstar' as he was known on the FF is probably the greatest order flow trader known to mankind.

I have never tried orderflow. I usually go with S&R levels or trendlines. Sometimes I use price action to find out the price patterns on the chart.
