Stock market opinions

what do you think about the stock market , specifically EU and US stocks... do you think they are going up or down ? (there's no need to explain why)

I see no one voted , lol... either no one trades the stupid stocks or no one has a clue what's going on...


maybe my question wasn't clear: I don't care about small moves ok...

It's not about predictions

price is low = buy
price is high = don't buy / sell

how to determine when price is low or high ?

I look at the average return and DD of a "diversified" index.

the sp dropped some more these days and it's down 14%. the average DD is around 17%, not to mention the peak DD.

according to my own analysis, those stocks are still overpriced

look at the average return of the SP and judge yourself.

I would like to share my thoughts as a contrarian investor, just for funr: I don't need to use leverage and martingale at all....that's gambling lol

I don't know what moves the market: FA, TA (momentum investing), rational decisions lol...

maybe fear and greed play the biggest role. fear moves it fast, greed moves it slowly.

my whole work is to find price patterns and optimal entry points.

most ppl believe that the FED plays the biggest role... good luck to them.

Good news... the sp is down 20% since january... but I'm going to wait some more to buy..

Not because of breakouts, chart patterns and other technical stuff...
Not because of the economics, politics and other fundamental stuff...


it's just about math ... and my personal needs.


I'm not desperately seeking for opportunities, my priority is to avoid big DDs ... that's just me..

i think this is the wrong place to speak about stocks.
We trade forex. In and out - be fast - short term analysis and fast market structure. This isn't an investment over several tens of years....

I have nothing helpful about stocks. The profession is forex.

this thread is not just about stocks, as markets are often correlated....


I believe there must be a reason to buy or sell... fundamental, technical or both

personally, I don't see any reason to buy right now...

again, I'm talking about mid/long term trading

so... I'm still not optimistic about the economy and in general I prefer other markets... cause in order to diversify I'd have to depend on an ETF that can liquidate my positions or raise fees at any time. unless I see a huge opportunity like in 2020... but such opportunities are just too rare.

in the end I went all in on gold at around 1800, I just have no clue when to sell it...
