I am getting this error when trying to backtest any Mathtrader's EA by any method. The trouble is with the EA rather than this method.

It is obviously by intention, so the only method is asking the coder to test it himself or removing the limit.

Hi,
The RenkoToCSV In build 890 not work.
Asks for update and if I upgrade the robot does not work.
What does it do?

In the second test.
I use windows 10 of adm permission.
MT4 Build 1031.
MathTrader7 Renko Chart Creator 1.48
MathTrader7 Renko EA 3.36
The RenkoToCSV did not create the file.
Why did not RenkoToCSV create the file?
But I got the test, I do not know if it gave me a false result.
You use the opening price.
Why do not you use the tick?
Caution, patience and balance.

{quote} Hello Ekud, Congrats on the new tool. Thank you for sharing it with us. iwjw has a point warning about the open price of the renko charts. The open price on the renko charts are not real open prices. To get the real open price you have to create non gapped renko by Mathtrader. Or use the following range bars ea, the open will always be correct. {file} Thanks once again and good luck

I think it does not work anymore in the current version, it does not open the chart offline M4, here.
Caution, patience and balance.

The script from ovo do all that more or less automated...

Drop that script from ovo (OfflineTestHelper.ex4) to your already generated offline/renko chart.
This will add a new "fake mt4 server" and convert your renko data to a "M1 timeframe" - you open that "fake mt4 server" and do your strategy tester/backtest there with that "fake M1 data" which represents your renko chart.

(i don't have any affiliation with ovo - but really useful for backtesting renko)

Hello, the ovo script (OfflineTestHelper.ex4) gives me an error.
It tells me it doesn't work with the mt4 version other than mt4 b-509.
I have tried to install mt4-b509, but it forces me to update. IT DOES NOT WORK.
Do you know of any version that works, or any way to solve the error.
Thank you

sorry, I'm not an ovo support person - I had an error on my first test as well using an old renko generator EA - so it's important to use an up to date renko generater ea/indicator (which uses the "new format" for hst files)

Hi, how much can we trust backtest on renko, because in my opinion the results are too good to be true.

Salve Escalperi,

Provalo in realtime (demo account naturalmente).

Vabbè da una parte se ti funziona bene così, meglio, ma moltiplicare per 6 il capitale di partenza su 4 anni, è poco. Forse puoi creare un money management più profittevole.

I do not understand the point of backtesting on modified open/close price in .csv file? testing with m1 history in MT4 shows completely different result. Can someone explain to me?
