I removed a few lines and added a horizontal blue dashed line at today's low.
The dashed line represents the stop loss at the most recent DIBS entry; today's low
was still a bit above it, so IF we had entered a trade at that DIBS entry,
we would NOT have been stopped out.

So far, there have been six bona fide DIBS entry points and one iffy one since July 1, 2021.
Driven into an upward trend by the so-called "transitory" inflation, coffee prices are up
about 68% since the July 6 low of $147.65, as taken from the recent high of $248.20.

Friday, Dec. 10. Another DIBS trade set-up appeared, but went south and got stopped out. {image}
I would be careful, weekly looks like a Key Reversal bar.
It takes a lot for me to IGNORE you, but you can try.

i was experimenting with the Turtle Trader method earlier.
I added a stop-loss line from the previous DIBS entry from November 22.
That dashed blue line is still in place as support for a long Nov. 22 DIBS trade.
I'm using the daily chart and not filtering for trend; I'm merely assuming
that inflation will continue to drive the general trend higher. If this were
an hourly chart, we would apply the ID/NR4 rule, using the ID as a filter;
but given that it's not, I'm just observing the candlesticks' position relative
to the Bollinger band lines.

We're all familiar with the phrase, "as much as the market will bear." That is to say--
how much higher will prices go?
In this chart I've drawn two dashed blue lines on the right side to form a sort of (imagined)
consolidation zone. I'm curious to see just how much higher the price of coffee
can go before we see some retracement out of that zone.
