Hi, first post, just created an account because this simple idea with an indicator is driving me nuts, haha. Basic Rule: If line is Aqua = buys only If line is Magenta = sells only I want to be able to compare this as Line >0 (aqua = 1 if visible, 0 if invisible) (there's more to the EA, but I just need help with this step of it) I've tried comparing with >0 for the empty_value but that doesn't work. I see in the code there are buffers of Uptrend and Dntrend but don't see how they draw the line and what number/condition I'm looking for. Here are...
I dont know what you want to achieve by your idea but here is something for others to know
"Slope Direction Line" indicator is nothing but renamed of old HMA (Hull Moving Average) actually,an old variation of hma by "Igor"
posting here Mladen's later hma ver that includes much more to experiment - though these days there are so many variations and extended versions of Hull by Mladen
it supports some 20 methods

full package alerts
interpolated mtf
PS : in example picture both (igor and Mladen versions) applied on chart with same parameters,almost hiding each other

Hi everyone, especially great coders here. Greetings... I am trying to pose this question to @Jagg and I hope he gets to read this request or any other Coders who can assist.
I am trying to have a very simple script or indicator (or the likes) to have a button or symbol located (can be set to reposition anywhere) on any open chart that after drawing a filled/unfilled coloured rectangle box of a Bearish Engulfing Candle on a Higher Time Frame (HTF) for example D1, then when we switch to a Lower Time Frame LTF) for example M15 or M5..., usually it's difficult to scroll to that spot (the origin), the start of the drawn Rectangle Box. I've seen another indicator by another coder on the internet having that feature where on a LTF when he clicks that button/symbol automatically the chart will be brought to that origin/starting point spot of where the drawn rectangle box was. This GREATLY saves time and frustration to scroll back trying to find the start point of the box to refine the box dimension for SnD or SnR Traders, like myself.
So, my humble request is for this simple Script or Indicator or the likes of it to be programmed so that I can place it on the chart to aid me in quickly jumping to the exact origin (starting point) of the Rectangle Box so I can refine the dimension parameters further. I hope I have described this feature clear enough so that @Jagg or anyone here can help program this...? Much appreciated and thank you in advance
p/s. it would be good to have other features included too whereby in the parameters settings to activate on or off the Rectangle Box Extender feature with option to set Price labels own/off at the top and bottom on the right hand corner of the box. This 2 features will be just enough for my trading ways. In fact the Colour Levels Custom indicator could be used to include this 2 features which would be good. I am using the Colour Levels indicator but modded (which if needed I can provide in here to include this 2 features if it's doable...) but if it's difficult to program this 2 indicator into it, then just a simple script/indicator to have this 2 features separately or 1 feature (ESPECIALLY the jump to origin one) will suffice.
