Yet another news reader...

the "news reader-tw_news.xml" file includes a log that says the Request to FF is blocked by cloudflare for security reason, that is why it shows blank page.

i just sent a message to FF support asked them if possible to solve this issue. so im attaching the file here.

All OK on my side

I have Windows 7 computer loads blank page and Windows 10 comp that is ok displays news events, so may be that could be it, bummer.

they are using same internet connection?!

Check your other indicators, scripts or EAs and how they manage objects
No issue whatsoever regarding that in the news reader

Having said that does anyone know how to access this calendar (or any other) via an EA such that the EA can prevent trading prior to a news event?

Great News reader tool! Nice presentation of the info, esp. the clean vertical lines for events, and the slightly transparent list of events (so one can still see a bit of what's underneath, and it is of course movable on the chart).

Given you don't share source, I'd like to offer a few suggestions if you're willing to consider incorporating them.

1. I always have to customize the Time offset when adding it to the chart, else the events appear at the wrong time. Usually it's "8", but it also depends on which broker's MT4 I'm using, since their timezones don't always match.

Would you please consider adding an F3 Global Variable that if set to a legal value would override the default value? I've attached a simple proof of concept to illustrate my request, that demonstrates how an F3 GVar could be used. (I also incorporated an idea to support timezones offset by 30 minutes, such as parts of Canada, India, and a few others no doubt. I myself use whole-hour offsets).

2. It would be nice if you added two startup options:
At_startup_Show_event_lines. (You presently do what 'false' would do; I myself would prefer 'true' as a default, but that's me).

3. And...
At_startup_Minimize_the_news_reader_event_list. (You presently display the full list, so 'false', which is ok. I might prefer 'true' as my default, but I don't feel strongly either way. The icon to minimize is rather trivial to swap. When my priority is to see the VLines, I already see what events they are, so having also the list is redundant in a way (other than having access to the various filter controls).

4. The 'Show only current symbol' is a nice feature to limit to events relevant to the Fx pair I'm viewing. Maybe this suggestion is too detailed, but in my existing News reader tool, I have 3 nice options to limit the events: 1 is like yours, to the Relevant two currencies. My 2nd is to always add USD events to cross pairs. (e.g. EURAUD would be EUR, AUD, and with my option, also USD (at least High, maybe Medium, but never Low impact). My 3rd is to show all events for the two currencies, plus all High impact events no matter what currency.

If you don't personally find value in these ideas, or if it adds too much confusion to your nice clean GUI, no need to bother.

Is it possible to change the dialog behavior? It would be nice to have the "close" button moved to the left end so the minimize and close buttons are at two different ends.

Often, it happens that instead of minimize button, I press the close button mainly due to the overlap of flags. (see screenshot)
