For US30, trade is closed, because the market isn't that volatile. It shy to break above the GANN's level.

Does it give an X when the indicator anticipates a pull back about to happen? or it gives an X when in thinks trend is going to continue?

How is counter trading done with the X indicator?

Hi Angela,

Thanks for the question.
X is gives you multiple opportunities
1. Close your recent profits / close partially
2. Open another position / add up position to your current position
3. Reversal

Usually when X appears, you will see inside bars, dojis, pinbars in action, market in ranging sideway or diagonally to the opposite of the trend.
You could apply your trading experience in price action when X appears and discern what action you should take.

i.e. If all of your indicator is saying sell when X appears, then it means continue selling.
When there is no X, it means the market is trending in that particular time frame or lower time frame.

I missed your question on counter trend.

Divergence, and textbook candle stick reversal patterns that utilizes 2 or 3 candles.
There is no other method to do counter trand than divergence.

Additional Information on 144 Indicator

How to identify a ranging market with 144?
A: If the market is ranging between 2 to 6 zones, and there are at least 6 or 7 candles you can conclude that it's a ranging market.
This is where you look for buy/sell opportunity relative to the prevailling trend.

How to identify a trending market?
A: If the market is going up or down for 7 or more zones with either 1 or 2 big candles or more than 7 small to medium size candles, that clearly is a trending market.

Screenshot below (example of EURUSD)
1 t0 7 (1 octave) and sometime more (9 or 10) is an impulse move (trending market)
When the market goes over 1 octave, like to 9, 10 or 12 (overstretch), it indicates that the market tries to reach to the highest/lowest point as possible before a big correction or maybe a reversal. Usually at this point, you will see big candles
roman numeric number (i) to (iii) are the correction.
