There's nothing to trade since 9:30CET this morning.......

So done my day:+5,5+3+2+30,5+20=TOTAL +61 pips FDXM.

Almost a miracle to had some decent gains or not be trapped in some nightmare positions....

Yd and this morning I read 3 alarming news:
1. cooper shortage in the world is imminent, so a lack of one of 1st raw material in the world;
2. INTEL lost 9% after US official close, on disappointng earning report, due to shortages on supply chain;
3. RENAULT expects further production losses after a 23% decrease on last Q3 report, not for lack of demand but for lack of components.
4. Yd I made a load of diesel for my car at 1,6 € per litre, highest in years

Nevertheless Financial Markets dont care and they are all in positive territory worldwide........
If I want keep gainning on trading better I stop to watch and read news.......the disconnection from the world is at the highest ever level, imho.

Whole current week DAX CASH INDEX stayed below 1% daily range, even less on last wed.

Volatiliy compression is clear, as prices are not allowed to fall, due to US markets that everyday get a new ATH.

In short, it's a difficult market to trade, and prices can stall for hours in strict ranges, going nowhere.

For today 15520/15480 the range in place on DAX CASH INDEX, and frankly I have not will to trade in these lethargic conditions........

Waiting 9CET to see if prices will fall below 400 or rise around 600 on possible erratic , illogic and wild moves at the official open.

The higher markets go, the deeper the fall will be when traders start to realize markets are overbought.

Big institutions take already chips of the table.
It's better to be out wishing to be in... than to be in wishing to be out!

i think you're talking about the markets. but the disconnection of the news/media from the world is even greater i believe.
i have come to understand that the market's purpose is not to describe reality. market is not a theory but a place where different expectations about the future (among other human things like emotions etc) are confronted with each other.

Simply we have to understand that 1 thing is the economy, the real economy and 1 another different thing are financial markets.

Sometimes they are closer each other , sometimes not!
Sometimes are correlated , sometimes not!

Then there are media well directed by usual suspects and media not influenced by usual Financial Sharks.
