Sorry if I require too much, but it would be nice to get an answer from the same chart why the market returned there, what could I have done better and what I did wrong. It is your decision to help me freely, thank you for that.

What I see on 1 min is
1) Overlapping price action.
2) You are selling strength.

Avoid overlapping price action.
Short the test to weakness and long the test to strength.

What I am seeing on your chart is,
1) Climactic down move.
2) Strength appearing, but price is engulfing strength. That means we are in a trading range.

You are selling at range high, so you are somewhat successful. But, in a range, price is erratic and we dont know which way it will break.

I appreciate how friendly everyone is in this thread. I just wanted to chime in with my personal perspective as an observer.

As far as I know, no one else in this thread the trades off the 1m. Quite a few seasoned VSA traders in this thread (and across the internet) have publicly stated that they find too much noise on the 1m and prefer to use the 5m or greater.

What you may not be fully accepting is that when you ask for advice on a timeframe that no one else trades, even well-intentioned advice is still a translation from the 5m (or greater) to the 1m. Since the 1m is no one's native tongue in this thread, at best you are getting a loose translation that you need to evaluate and tweak. This means that your trading journey is going to be harder than everyone else in the thread who trades the same timeframes and can take good advice at face value.

An analogy that comes to mind is that a consumer who purchases a product, then uses it in a way that voids their warranty... yet still demands the manufacturer help troubleshoot the issues that arise explicitly from using the product outside of its intended use.

It is your prerogative to take the road less traveled, but it is also a much larger responsibility that I am not sure you are fully accounting for in your approach to VSA. In fact, multiple skilled traders in this thread (that are better than both of us combined) have told you to move away from the 1m. You have ignored their advice and then return to the thread and ask those same members why you keep getting stopped out.

If you are consistently profitable with the 1m chart or have found a recurring theme that you can exploit, then it makes sense to continue as you are. If, however, you are not consistently profitable and are still in the beginning stages of VSA, then imo, it makes a lot more sense to trade the 5m or greater until you have master the basics. My biased, uninformed perspective is that you are picking the hardest timeframe to unconsciously satisfy your desire to overtrade in the markets, and it will stunt your growth as a (VSA) trader.

Good post mate. I think this slightly touches on the previous chat about timeframe selection.

I just want to add an observation from the recent Tradeguider video, Holmes jumps in on a short on the 15s timeframe and doesnt even wait on a break of the trigger level, or a cross of the MA. It was simply one if his "entry sequences", climactic up bar, next bar down, next bar no demand.

So if you jumped in on the video at the wrong time it wouldnt look like there is much confluence to this trade, but what I guess is important is that he had consecutive weakness on 4-5 of the above timeframes as was alerted on his smart centre, the 15s chart was simply a pullback entry with weakness in the background over several timeframes.

My take-away from that video is that,the timeframes are simply fractal as previously discussed, and Holmes's entry could have really been on any timeframe because he had multiple stacks of confluences.

So lets assume that Trezo took an entry sequence on M1 (which he did....i think), this is probably no different from M15, H1.....D1?

But.... did Trezo have multiple signs of weakness not only on his entry timeframe, but on M5,M15,M30 aswell?

So timeframe aside why would Trezo or anyone (including myself) expect a high probability setup based solely on one timeframe (without multiple confluence e.g MA, chart mode, ww, HVZ etc), if Gavin Holmes himself requires confluence of SOS/SOW over multiple timeframes?

This Up thrust into the low of the NFP bar is paying out all sorts of dividends. It was pure coincidence that I notice the UT, by looking at what the test on yesterday's highs was testing.

At least from my perspective I don't think that its seeing multiple SoW on multiple time frames.

I think its more doing your analysis on a larger time frame, like M30+ then dropping down to a lower time frame to get the best entry. Thats at least how I do it, honestly I wouldn't care if M5 and M15 are showing weakness, if H1 is telling me to buy then I'm going to buy all the head fakes on M5/M15.
My advice trading M1 :
1. Recognize the trend
2. Trade only in one direction (trend follower), to get focus in which direction you will trade
3. Have a good money management
4. If you loss a trade just forget, get focus the next (because in M1 you will get a lot of more entry pattern)

Just my opinion ... could be wrong.

I was just meaning that on that particular video he had a few timeframes lining up on his smart centre without having to look at them. So had multiple timeframe confluence.

Perhaps GH is happy with just one higher TF confluence, just in this instance there was a few.

agree with you on this. i do the same. only if 15m is giving me opposite signs of my trade i monitor how the market will react to it, but everything below it its just minor. THOUGH, we both know that the change of trend starts on smaller TF and then after a while its more clear on higher TF.

we are talking a lot about tests and VZA here. Nice example: 30min giving a test (above yesterdays HVZ) which fails, but we would not have bought it as the price didn't go above it and then we have a massive test where the price went above that where we saw nice 5min test. giving us tight SL and huge potential. closed it with over 6R+

Yeah I took them on M15, I usually don't go down to a M5 unless its an aggressive trend, kinda like the aggressive trends we've seen on JPY lately.
