Keyboard = Ctrl+B

Mouse = List All

enter the same indicator twice in the same chart window.
Eliminate RSI and DeMarker from your view.
Now set up a Fisher with smaller parameters and a bigger one to your liking.

Well, you gave him an answer to his question about the spread, and he deemed it uninvited. I'm not sure what he expected to hear.

The only thing I would add to your answer is brokers tend to have excuses to be greedy at opportune times.

Hi mate, yes that is the one, thanks!! I had found the code only for MT5, and for MT4 you had to subscribe to a service there or something like that to be able to download it, but that is the indicator. That is not the way to use this indicator, if you are basing your trading strategy in buying/selling volume spikes you gonna get hurt. This indicator is intended as a complementary data for volume spread analysis.

It would be appreciated if one of the coders here could code a Fibonacci indicator that auto calculates the period between two date & time parameters.
If it is possible to code multiple Fibonacci into the one indicator that would be ideal, e.g.
Time Periods: Yesterday; Current Week; Previous Week; Previous Month broken into Week 1, Week 2, Week 3, Week 4, Week 5; Previous Month; Previous Quarterly, Previous Year.
If a single indicator cannot be coded then one indicator with ability for multiple instances of the same indicator on the same chart.
This single would have True/False for each of the Periods mentioned above.
Fib Name & Description as to the identity of the Chart and Period e.g. XAUUSD Wk 1 Sept
User defined levels, e.g. 0.0, 23.6, 38.2, etc
Line style, Colours and each level to show Fib % (True/False)
And each level to show Price (True/False)
Save.
I trust this description is enough information.

A simple request please :

The normal MT4 Fib Indicator :

Please an option to be able to change the font size ( and maybe colour), of the fib lines.

If colour is an issue, font size is the most important please.

The mind is still 25, but the body is the wrong side of 50, so even with reading glasses those fib levels are tough to read.

This will be a great help

Here's hoping one of you braniacs can help with this.

This seems an easy one.
However, do you have access to any workable mq4 source to edit?
Looking at MT4, the Fibs are an Object, within the MT4 service pack, and not an external file that can be edited.

Once an editable file can be found, it "should" be a small matter of adding the Font and FontSize attributes.

If you can find any mq4 you are happy to have on your machine, I think I would have a crack at modifying it.

Nope sorry, I did not know what you explained to me, thanks for the lesson.

Now to find a simple fib mq4 file......

I will ask my librarian, her name is Google, maybe she can help me.....hehehe!

Since you are teaching me new things here today, how do we know if a mq4 file is safe / good enough to have on our machines?

This has been a thing in the back of my head also....

Would be nice f there is a way to know?

( I have 10 thumbs when it gets to all these coding thingamajigs)...lol

When loading any new file, it's best to have the .mq4, which is readable, as an .ex4 may contain stuff that is detrimental to your PC, and could contain viruses, or could put undue load on your PC resources.

I also would not offer any code I would not run on my own machine, as a gesture of respect to the potential user.

Also, when loading someone elses file, it may contain styles, aesthetics, or additional quirks you may find displeasing.

PS: I too have used the "librarian google", and found many Fib files, but they had other quirks that I thought would use up too much resources.
Eg, Auto Fibs.
One, interestingly had "Fibs plus Pin Bar". I was unwilling to remove the excess code.
Nor offer it to you, in case it was "too much".
Some were unnecessarily complex, such as being able to change the colour of each separate line.

I thought it was an interesting exercise, as it potentially involved changing a "standard" piece of code.
I learned a lot as well, which educated me a bit more about "ObjectProp".

Hope your use of "librarian Google" gets you a better outcome.

We are forced here to use ex4 files, especially as coders don't like to hand out the source files.

Maybe it all boils down to which coder you trust hey?

Yep, mistress Google did not give ma a simple fib mq4 also...

Do you code new indies also, or just tweak existing ones ?

JeanLouie has a very nice Fib Ruler, the use of that thing has made me a " clever" trader...lol

I have asked him numerous times to do some tweaks to that, but he is unwilling to change the simplicity of it, and for that I must respect him.

I truly believe a little better version of what he did, that incorporates a few small things like line descriptions, maybe fill in zones between the levels, and for sure multi instance of such a ruler, each with different settings & colours, three of those things with each his own settings, and I nail price in a corner it did not think it could be cornered in....lol

Numerous other traders here have also asked him for basically the same stuff I did, so doing this will help a lot of guys here.

If you are maybe up for helping with such a ruler from scratch, that will be even better than the mt4 fib with font size...lol

IF you feel like it, I will explain a bit more, its really a no brainer, but effective, if I can find an able body braniac here willing to help

I think you are wrong to request something from the programmers of this thread.
- You must bear in mind that time is valuable, and they are giving it to you.

- You are not paying a dollar for the work they do. The programmer is kindly giving you his knowledge and time for free.

Instead of requiring documentation on how to use an indicator. Kindly offer to help the programmer to assist you. Making a user manual is within the reach of anyone. take the initiative and do it yourself and then ask the programmer if it is ok.
Consider the hours that programmers spend to fulfill a request. You want me to work for free and to top it all, you demand from the programmer !!. Very selfish of him.
Then say incessant things like this to provoke a conflict:

We as traders can have an idea to capture our edge in the market, but without the know how of the coders, well, your edge means NOTHING.

I at times also get frustrated for maybe not getting what I ask for, that is just human nature.

But I have learnt to quickly give myself a reality check when that happens :

1...If the coder rejects my request, maybe they have been down that road and know its not working

OR

2...They just don't have the time to give more of their FREE time here, to develop my idea.

3....Then I measure my frustration, against what I have already gained form their donated time, and how far would I have been in my journey as a trader if there was NO coders available......

I am looking for the correction of my EA created with free version Forex EA Generator 7
EA with conditions below:
open buy trade after the candle crossed and/or closed above (1st candle)EMA18 where EMA18 is above EMA50 at M15
and sell trade after candle crossed and/or closed (1st candle) below EMA18 where EMA18 is below EMA50.
Trade needs to be open with a new candle open and Stoploss 10 pips and Take profit 30 pips or previous swing high or low.
Please find attached EA which I have created with free software Forex EA Generator 7
Also was unable to back test the EA

i would appreciated your help

i want an indicator to define the two main candles pattern

high close doji

- add small trend line above the high for the doji candle
- and only do this if two condition meet
- First close above the Doji can be define by certain number of pips from Doji high ( input in the indicator )
- Second candle should be bullish and it high , is higher than the candle closed above the Doji high


low close doji
- add small trend line under the low for the doji candle
- and only do this if two condition meet
- First close below the Doji can be define by certain number of pips from Doji low( input in the indicator )
- Second candle should be bearish and it low , is lower than the candle closed below the Doji low
