Just thought I would add that the proximal line of the OB lines up with the high of YHVZ

The second chart is the same time period as the first chart with the VSA plug-in. Not sure what you want to see, you have to click on an indicator to bring up the dialog box.
Without VSA, you're playing checkers while the Smart Money plays chess.

Interesting chats from you guys.
RickM's comments regarding his previous experiences using "standard" VSA got me thinking....
Ive noticed that forex and forex education has become alot more mainstream over the past 2-3 years.
Prop firms seem to be a big deal now, you no longer have to start off with £1000 and attempt to compound your account over years and years, you can take £500-£800 and buy yourself an evaluation for a 200k account, and there is pretty much no ceiling now as to how much funds you can have to trade with. ( I know this cos ive been trying to pass evaluations/challenges for the past 12 months).
Since starting to read this thread (currently on page 1378) im able to follow certain traders journeys to a degree, Malcolm, Pres78, HG, KinsaleForex (Liam), and many others which has been interesting and still learning alot from these posts, debates etc.
(Sorry starting to digress, il try and get to my point)
In the forex education scene, there is alot about "Smart Money" in the form of Wyckoff Structures, S/D zones. (Im already in a paid Wyckoff Community, but ive went off on my own a bit to study VSA)
So for all the bustling communities that use wyckoff,S/D, Price Action, Elliot Waves, and have many funded traders within......
I see no communities that use VSA? This makes me wonder why it isnt as mainstream as much as the other methodologies out there?
Many succesfull traders in these groups use pure price action, support and resistance etc...... then why isnt VSA used as a method of confirming said price action, keep them out of some losing trades, and help increase the probabilities of trades taken, and make use of such a good edge?
What I mean Is, I am still a little skeptical with VSA based on the fact of "why didnt I know about it" if that makes sense, it comes across as almost "underground".
I personally wont know the benefits, Pros/Cons untill ive taken at least 100 trades, and fine tuned what I feel works for me by using VSA.
Would be interesting to hear your thoughts on this RickM?
Do you reckon it just your trading personality that couldnt find success with "standard" VSA? Which would fall into the "doesnt work for everyone" category.
Or do many struggle with success with it, hence my observation that VSA not spoken about publicly in the youtube scene for example, or isnt more mainstream?
And thats potentially why the thread went quiet over time?
I just want to point out that im not knocking VSA, im way too early in my learning to do that, im just pointing out some simple observations that seem apparent and will take time to dispell.
(I could have spoke too soon....maybe its only a matter of time, and in the next couple of months communities and youtubers will be popping up everywhere showing the merits of VSA)
Edit: HG, you commented briefly on prop firms in a previous post regarding news restrictions with some firms, would be interesting to hear your take on it, and whether you use them.
