I console myself in the stoploss if that happens. Happened to me yesterday on Dax. had to eke out a trade to break even on the day.

Yeah- I wish I was better at the whole patience thing.

I now have written checklists with my setups on them and if the rules don't fit then I leave it. Unfortunately, didn't bother with the checklist today! But it has been working well, less impulsive

I have never really traded indices, once I feel I've mastered cable I think I might get involved

Ended up taking +40 last trade after contacting m5 supply- a bird in the hand etc. Actually having a pretty good week so far- I wish I'd got in on some of the London shorts

W played out perfectly

Had a couple of long scalps

first hit BE because I neglected to TP when it reversed

Second around 45 pips

Looking for turnaround at either upper supply levels

Short now.

The h1 supply is based on the h1 chart, the red bar inside that red bar is the exact m5 candle that caused the drop previously (for a more precise entry to look at PA)

BE stop hit, now short again this AM

Looking for daily pivot

Edit- unreal, this flew up almost instantly and hit my stop

Sometimes they use these m5 TLs as traps around 7am, I feel to coax scalpers and grab stops

Done nothing today really- Took that 1xR loss and don't feel very switched on

NY is my preferred session so will keep an eye on things

Didn't have much time to post today

Had a couple of PA scalps short then long in NY

Nothing fancy, looking at the wedge type patterns along with PA/divergence

These are the easiest trades in the world, free money-- however I did get trapped by this type of setup at 7am. This morning I was shouting at the screen after getting stopped out and feeling intensely frustrated so I'm glad I walked away for the morning

Out of everything they're just 20 pip scalps with 10 pip SLs

No trades today- taking the Friday off. Rare good weather in Edinburgh

This week results were really good. Discipline is starting to improve. I have a clearer set of rules and written checklist for each setup I follow- it should hopefully just be a case of sticking to these rules no matter what.

Very pleased to catch the reversal from 1.3575, primarily a scalper but you have to know when to hold 'em. 1:2 trades only get you so far you have to push for the occasional 1:5-12 when the time is right

Quick trade short on cable today for 50 pips/5xR

Distribution pattern on H4 supply (strong untested zone). Waited for the last retrace and pounced. Down to the RBR demand (it may bounce from here). Called on cable updated before the move : https://www.forexfactory.com/thread/...7#post13649127

I believe we will see a deep correction to 1.3820 area (h1 demand) for various reasons. Maybe we will make contact with the new h1 supply first, or range for a bit before a move down.

I'm in the short now

We closed the FVG, reacting off of the flip zone, so may not reach the h1 supply-- plus DXY reached the h1 demand

Add to that we contacted daily pivot

I will set stop to BE and take the short higher if necessary

Slow day, mentioned it could be a range day, no big deal

Nothing changes, continue to hold short

DXY forming a bull flag on demand, looks good for cable to continue the correction after filling the FVG

Gilt yields sliding, a good breakout of the DXY flag towards weekly pivot will crash GU good

Short again from supply

Edit- taken out at BE

We have a W pattern with divergence on h1 so may turn bullish after retrace

Late entry but I took the long based on PA- we broke YH to have a retrace leg on a bullish W pattern which didnt beak YL, so we can go up another 70 pips from here. We're reaching off of some basing formed on h1.

I did end up getting stopped on this but re-took it higher up just before PMI and made back the loss plus 2xR

My mistake was maybe not waiting for the h1 supply to be hit completely or moving my stop to BE quickly enough
