I never prefer to open my trading account with a bucket shop broker. It doesn’t do any good, rather gives you stress.

You have explained it well. It can get confusing for people at first about Book A and B so this seems to have covered everything. The Book B model is undoubtedly profitable if we consider it from the broker’s point of view.

Hmmm. Being that slippage isn't making or breaking the majority of retail traders' strategies, it seems like an interesting conversation but perhaps fruitless to most of us. Always good to learn new things though

I prefer A Book broker (ECN or STP). In past i got scammed by 24FX (B book)

A book is actually much better fills and there will not be much slippage. Once they see your are profitable for few months they will change you to B book and your going to get sliped out the ass. I've seen this with many brokers over the years. You can tell when the transition takes place.

I think they start off most people with accounts below 10k in A-book. I mixed it up lol

I thought there might be a clear technical way to find out if your trades are getting b-booked or not. I can't say that i have noticed any slippage at all so far, if so that must have been in the 0.0-0.05 Pips area. And i am overall profitable for quiet a long time now. I have accounts with Dukascopy, IC, GP and Pepper. They all are in good shape.

Probably just a lot of rumors/myths. It also doesn't makes sense to me why they should start playing against you suddenly just because you are making some profits our maybe these profits has to be in the hundreds of thousands/millions before you even get their attention, idk.
