Southgate was a defender while Mancini was a forward as players....maybe this is the reason England play so defensively after they scored.

and Grealish would play for sure every game 1st minute with Mancini as coach, he's almost the same player as when Mancini played.......technical and fast

I can't see that was the reason England played so defensive after the first goal because in their prior games they played solid defence, attack and held the ball extremely well, they more or less dominated their prior games i think Southgate saw the Victory within his grasp and changed the play and we all knew that was a mistake and a reversion to old style of England play just would not cut it against a top team like Italy, would of been a deferent story had Southgate not buckled.

We all make mistakes so we will forgive Southgate and thank him for a great display of Football leading up to the final, leadership and for the hope he gave us all during these hard times.
