Forex Diary Week ending 9th Apr 2021

hey gang - heres the week ...not too shabby

BEARS

The main player was the Red GBP dropping some 200 pips (below zero line)
nothing else too crazy on the bear side to mention ...GBP was not too bad a run actually

BULLS

The biggest Bulls were Grey CHF (+150 pips) closely followed by the blue Euro as a runner up
yellow yen was the only other buy this week

no real chop either ...all solid plain sailing through the week

GBPCHF and EURGBP were the big plays

nope to any of that ....i shared my performance a few years back on a few sites with some published scalping results for 3-4 consecutive days and no one believed me

never bothered after that .......first people call you out ...then you show what you are doing ...then they say its all lies .....crazy and small minded

Jees ive been trading forex for 21 years now ...if you are not good at it by then what idiot would still be doing it ?

good volatility through to Wednesday last week ...then it consolidated a lot sadly

BULLS
Red GBP got bull to + 120s ..... thats ok
Yellow Yen and Blue Euro finished strongly ......

BEARS
big selloffs early week on Brown Cad to -170s
Green USD was a feeble sell all week

well done if you bagged Cad pair sells and / or GBP pair buys ...early week though only !!

a lot of people ask me where i am strategically for 2021 ....

so just open up my Fixstart and set it from 1/1/21

its mega selling yen bear since february .....im sure you can see why ....if you want a little direction.... bolt a free fxcorelator on it say a 7ma setting ....and wait till yeloow yen goes below the zero line ...trade the trend

so Selling yen in its pairs .....simple

Pretty good advice on trading scams .....I have acquired a good sixth sense over the last 40 years involved in the gambling and trading world to spot most ....but even I can still be fooled

Some are so bad it’s laughable .....but I realise for anyone inexperienced you could be easily conned .....sorry the trading business is so soiled with scammers .....

Always happy to give help and advice ....sometimes it takes me a while to get back to you as I’m pretty busy most days

Bulls
red GBP and Brown CAD did the best .....

Bears
Green USD was hammered in the week ......thursday / friday it dived in markets
Blue Euro was weak to midweek ....

Best Trades of the Week ?
hitting GBP bulls monday (into USD mainly)
Selling USD thursday into CAD
Selling USD Friday into GBP (repeat of mondays action)

well done on hitting those trades ......its clearer when you can see the whole G8 market with a strengthmeter.....thats why ive used them for 20 years now

look at them fly ......sell anything else literally .....yellow Yen is a decent sell ....over 220 pips so far in May on a Bull Range

Red GBP dominated so far .....its been fading recently
Brown Cad was strong earlier in month

Bears
Plenty of them .....Green USD , Turquoise NZD and Orange AUD ...and Yellow Yen
nice patterns this month so far ...i like it when Yen and USD are together !

Trend Followers - any GBP pairs have been good buying Sterling early month
Mean Reversion Traders - GBP has been overheated since mid may so some fast sells in play still

im always happy to help and cut through the Trading BS that is now sadly rife on modern day Social media ....absolute Zoo out there .....

heres the story so far early June .....

I also have many free indicators and advice here if you look in signature area...ive been trading Forex for 20 years (and other markets for much longer)....

Bulls
plenty of low key bull currencies - but the Green USD swing dominated the
week.....then USD crumbled on the Friday NFPs ....

Bears
initial selloffs on green USD but then a dramatic swing happened (see bulls)
Red GBP got hammered on Tuesday ....Turquoise NZD sold off steadily from mid week

overall though so far the first week in june was lightweight for any G8 real range / movement ...aside from USD that swung some 120 pips in week (unusual)

Trend Followers - buying USD in pairs from Tues worked till Friday
Mean Reversion Traders - USD on Friday was a killer reversal (but i never advocate trading NFP real time)

im always here to help cut through the Trading BS that represents 95% of all Trading commentary and Social media these days ....absolute Zoo out there .....

hey gang

i know that 8 currencies swinging around any of my indicators looks like a deranged jackson pollock Picture !

its mayhem ! ....lines everywhere !

so remove some ....focus on the currencies you generally trade ....

all my indicators allow this .....

if you want to still see your currencies in relation to all 8 currencies then maybe colour some of them all Grey or something ? ....again the indicator allows you to do this

Green USD and its partner yellow JPY have creamed it so far ....watch the correction on any month end TPs

Bears
Red GBP hurting bad and brown Cad also taken some flak.... Blue Euro has been weak as well

so hats off to you buying USD and Yen into Sterling , CAD and Euro ...some decent pips around (450 pips on cable range so far in June)....

Trading gets easier if you look at the bigger picture - with 28 pairs to chose from across some 9 main Timeframes amounts to over 200 charts on offer .... why not try using Strengthmeters to pick the BEST chart to trade ?

Green USD and its partner yellow JPY commanded the week ....USD was rolling until the NFPs crushed it friday

Bears
Brown CAD was hurting at times ....turquoise NZD and Orange AUD were also struggling into mid week

so hats off to you buying USD and Yen into CAD mainly to mid week - most pairs did ok in fact to Thursday...then all change Friday as USD folded ......

Trading gets easier if you look at the bigger picture - with 28 pairs to chose from across some 9 main Timeframes amounts to over 200 charts on offer .... why not try using Strengthmeters to pick the BEST chart to trade ?

JPY / Yen got real bull up to thursday (+200 pips) then profit taking took its toll

CAD got real messy as a sell again trough to Thursday ... -250 pips and counting

thats it ...the rest were minor players and participators .....if you were not trading CAD or Yen pairs in the week you were struggling ......

wish it was always this easy .....

I recall reading somewhere (perhaps trade2win) a post of yours which explains the calculation logic behind your FXCorrelator basic free version. I'd like to read it again. However, I cann't find that post now. Can you please provide a link to it ?

not sure if i ever explained the detailed logic behind the indicator .....the formula gives it away if you read MQ4 ?

its a pretty straightforward indicator with a small tweak to the original 200/2001 posts on the Metatrader website

i found an error in that information and updated it to the FXCorrelator

it uses the moving average strength of the 7 USD pairs to recalculate the relative strength between the 7 currencies ...then it synthesizes the USD index from those calculations to create all 8 currencies on the chart

its not perfect as all 28 pairs are better ......but that can use a lot of memory

BULLS
yellow JPY / Yen hit +100 pips by thursday
Turquoise NZD and even green USD both got close

BEARS
Brown CAD got real messy as a sell -120 pips
Blue Euro and Red GBP also came south but much lighter

SWING OF THE WEEK
yellow Yen was net -30s negative early tuesday.... so hit +130s swing by later in week

TRADE OF THE WEEK
CADJPY had a decent sell in week of about -0.7%

thats it ...the rest were minor players and participators .....if you were not trading CAD or Yen pairs in the week you were struggling ......
