hi brothers,

to good to be truth, i to eager after test on demo acc 2 days seeing incredible profits and brilliant macd-rsi calculation (on this experts),

i jump to my real acc, both.. now one already MC which is my mistake, capital not to good enough, and no SL at all (actually i still learn how to put auto SL in expert)
and too greedy not manual close all when i already achive 50% profits in 12 hours, until its turn red and make it total lost.

my second acc still in floating, and i have no idea what to do, because too many pairs open (default set 28) and i'm not studying the all chart pairs
just hoping its turn chart reverese and hit all the Tps

*both acc i put on FF if brothers want to see and give some advices.. cause i'm to noob and sick!

Just two days and you started on Real? We are testing it since months. For me just wait i guess.. market will be good soon on Tuesday I guess. Patience is key my friend. When you have enough positive margin.. just close all trades and practice for few months on demo until you found a working never greedy. When you see good profit just book my friend and start over.

Just my thoughts.

its just made my day... but friend, its like i said before, its too good and brilliant macd-rsi calculation, and its makes good profit instantly.. thats why i'm blinded jump to real.. but i forgot one things, market is not mine, and news can break any technical analysis just like a finger snap.. boom! then i cry below a bed one night..

I have not seen anyone sharing their experience at FF threads like you do. Big salute to you and your passion.

I am a 72 year old retired financial journalist (in 1990 I was a freelance Far Eastern correspondent for Saudi Gazette too and my last full time job was with Asian Wall Street Journal) with 36 years trading experience helping (free of cost) retirees to make paasive money by buying options (quite low risk and known in advance) and trading momentum (medium risk unknown in advance) for day trading only.

I dont know Excel or mql or any.programming language. Because of actual trading experience I design logic for safe and profitable trading.

if ever you get interested in future options and you are familiar with Interactive Brokers and know Excel I will be happy to develop a simple options buying real time Excel analysis tool using IB API .

Buying future options is like buying lottrey tickets. No margin required, so no margin call. A trader can't lose more than lottery cost but can easily hit 1000 pc return if trade only maximum 24 times in a year.
An intermediate trader only has to think whether the price will hit 150 pc or more of ADR today or not. Trade has to be for a day only. You win or lose Don't stay in trading for next day.

If you predict minimum 150 % for up direction, buy Call. If you think going down buy Put. Use IB Mobile trader for quick execution.

A beginner with no trading experience will need to first do spot demo or cent trading for a year or more to develop a feeling for direction bias.

I traded buying of options for 12 years to become a small flat owner for living.

Go over the thread, go over the manuals created consume the information practice practice practice. Test , get results - refine , repeat and repeat ... people here will happily meet you half way if you put effort to read material already so readily available..

Hello everyone Has anyone managed to set up an Expert Advisor without large DD (no more than 15-17%) with a TP of 1-3 points? I have DD at low TP of 25-35% (this is too much for my MM). If someone got small DD with small TP ... Share the settings. So far, DD suits me with a TP of 25+ points ...

Well thats what bothering me.. it will give you huge profits in start but then dd building up.. I am trying various strategy.. Lets see when I come up with anything...

I am doubting that this EA can be use full time and whole month.. you need to take profit and close margin..it will be only solution for me.. just trying how to reduce yes thats the problem

If you haven't already test O D 34 - 34 TO 5 TP144
Let it run anywhere from 3 to 14 days more if you so choose....but profits will be banked and when at some point your balance comes into plus hit send CLOSE. And re-start the process.
I will.leave leverage and lot sizing to you, obviously in accordance to your Equity Balance, goals and risk appetite.


There are many different strategies which are birthed from your belief of the market and perhaps your style of trading and even the amount of time you want to give to your trading. But I can tell you that I have been making Real-money in the markets with this blessing of an EA.

yup bro I am even making money with od 5 too but dd will be huge after some days and yes clear My plan was just to do same...close and book profits.. lets see how it works

Dear DJTrend,
I'm not an expert. But with my experience and as Macd-rsi clearly said there's no Holy Grail setup here. If you need to reduce your DD you may try following
- Use larger O and D like 25 or even better with 67
- Reduce lot size FI and LI
- Increase ladder
Your DD may vary with market volatility. But here we love DD to absorb the market anger.

Practice and try what suite your personality and risk tolerance. Hope you understand.

just wanna share my real small acc result of loss summary,

remember to those new in here and who wanna trade using expert by default, here is come the result for 24hours trade in 1 day with capital of $200

strongly I remind myself to not blindly trade into real acc before practice in demo acc..

i'm thinking about which pair suite me and my broker condition/spread gap

If you like to watch price going up and down, and your fingers tries to close trade with small profits and not to close large losses, any settings on this EA will not work. You need to develop best trait a FX trader that is "Patience". With the setting of O and D equal to 45 and a TP of 134 will give you good results in 2 to 3 weeks time if you do not manually interfere.
As mentioned by all those who have been here long enough, i would like to share the similar findings.

Small OD Settings: (somewhere between OD 1-25, TP <100)
Pros: You get to profit more if you are right, but also lose more when you are not, which is why Macd always emphasize it is much more speculative.

I believe you need to know the following:
1) Risk Management - Margin used (so as not to get margin call), lot sizing is key! (dont use all your capital to size your positions)
2) Technicals - Important to determine you SL level (after which you should close), with the known stop loss, adjust your lot sizing followed by the number of orders and OD (i believe this should be the sequence) - Use the "TESTER" function to work out the right OD settings with the Lot size which you have allocated

I am definitely still working on the above, as I am slightly more risk adverse and I do not like seeing huge draw downs. But you need these huge draw downs (to trigger all your limit orders and wait for a reversal), this probably explains the huge DD for smaller settings. Because with smaller ODs, more limit orders are triggered, and once that happens and price do not reverse, that is when your account gets into trouble and if your Lot sizing is too big, you eventually face margin call. My takeaway is to start with smaller Lot sizing, and see how the price moves with each asset.

Bigger OD Settings: (somwhere between OD 34, TP >100)
Pros: Much more hands off approach. Much more forgiving as you are not going to trigger all limit orders at the same time as you have bigger ODs. In this case you will be less likely to get margin call
1) Risk Mangement and some technicals to time your entry, still keeping lot sizing small
2) Diversification helps in further mitigating drawdowns
3) Patience is key! You are looking at 2weeks to 1 month

Glad to share that I have better results with the bigger OD settings

I think what seems to work well for me is going back to basics and really just think of how Macd himself was able to achieve the results he was getting even before the addition of all the new updates till date. I HIGHLY recommend using the "SEND" function and study how Grid trading works. (Refer to PDF-"Manual Orders-Offline orders")
1) You are not subjected to unfortunate events when your EA crashes
2) You can visually see your BL and SL orders so its easier to understand how Grid Trading works.
