In today’s trading room, we analyzed the charts for the upcoming week. We start with the higher time frames and then check the lower time frames to look for intraday opportunities.

After identifying key levels, we took a long position on the EUR/USD and closed for a small profit.

Weekly trade idea on EUR/USD.
Week: 24-28.05.2021

Key event: USD. Gross Domestic Product Annualized
The Gross Domestic Product Annualized shows the monetary value of all the goods, services and structures produced within a country in a given period of time. GDP Annualized indicates the pace at which a country’s economy is growing or decreasing. Generally speaking, a high reading or a better than expected number is seen as positive for the USD, while a low reading is negative.

We expect a similar reading to the previous month.

This release should not affect the USD behavior during the week. Technical key levels will be more relevant. We expect a continuation of the actual US weakening trend against most major pairs. We do not expect a surprising positive data release that could reverse the actual trend direction.

Key Levels EUR/USD:

Resistance 1.2250, 1.2350

Support 1.2170, 1.2050, 1.2000

Trend EUR/USD

Bullish

Price has recovered aggressively to the upside, forming HH and HL. A test of the next resistance is very likely. If that level doesn’t hold we should see a rally all the way to 1.2300.

Call to Action/Trade Idea

We will look for any opportunity to join the bullish trend on supports. Any retracement or pullback. Only an unexpected important release might overturn the actual trend.

We follow a buy position on USDCHF I opened 20 minutes before and after saw the price struggling to create some profit I choose to close it with a few pips of profit.

We analyzed a few GBP pairs and find out the best setup on the daily chart for sell position on GBPCHF with a great Quasimodo level above, and We also described how S&D levels work in any other markets and analyzed the Nasdaq index.

a leverage question:
given 13k equity, 1:6 leverage would be a buying power of 78k...or give or take 0.78 lot?

today i ran into the issue that having if recall correctly 0.3 lot worth of open entries, and was denied to open another 0.3 lot worth...ultimately ended up succeeding with 0.2 lot, but missing out subsequently some good profit. would think 0.6 lot is OK ( GbpJpy) as rule of thumb. if matter SLs were set approx a combined 105$ ( out and away not to bother, but within the rules)

is there a formulae that i can refer to as definitive by 5%ers to avoid similar scenario in future if arise?

Hey profitfarmer

In this case, the Max lot size you can open is approximately 0.78 lot. It depends on the pair you trade. For some pairs, the value is higher. Especially the GBP pairs. To understand better the meaning and how leverage calculated, I suggest you watch this video

Hello everybody,

I must say that the Forex Prop Industry...or whatever you call it is really competitive and firms are popping up everywhere with different schemes and rules. But don't be fooled there are none that do not have a daily or streak DD loss in place. These sort of rules trail you and force you down and not allow you to increase lotsize to compensate for your increasing balance. It is a formula for failure.

I must post though that the 5%er's is tough to pass the evaluation. But if you can (I cannot) you can coast and take your time and trade stress free. There is not any daily or streak DD loss stuff following you constantly forcing you to change the way you trade.

I just want to post this and say Hi...I am still trying folks and maybe someday I can be a professional.

I do not trade manually and it is very tough for me to "dial-in" an EA or signal to pass this thing.

Forex Trading Room on 31st May - 4th Jun 2021

Here's today's recording Forex Trading Room Session.

In this market-overview session, we reviewed the major currency pairs and some crosses.

The EUR/USD and the GBP/USD are still in a bullish trend, but both are moving inside monthly and weekly supply zones. Caution is advised for the bulls.

The USD/JPY is moving gradually higher and could try to reach the supply zone above around 110.60. The daily chart is forming a bearish reversal, so the pair could move lower in the coming days. Potential demand is found around 109 or lower around 108.60.

The USD/CHF is overall in a downtrend, but it has a nice demand zone on the daily chart around 0.8920. As discussed in the session, there could be a nice setup for long if the price tests this zone with price action, and possibly a bullish divergence on the stochastic oscillator.

The USD/CAD is very bearish, but moving inside a huge monthly demand zone, and is at a strong support level right now. If the 4H triangle is broken, that could give a nice sell signal, but beware of the support/demand zones.
