BACK TO TRADING CHARTS: DAX FUTURES here below trying to close the week breaking up 515 reistance zone, if 480 zone will hold.......
Typically thursday or wed lows lead to higher friday close...we'll see, cause DAX(I mean DAX CASH INDEX, the KING) is compressed into strict 200 pts range current week, a little bit unusual for wild horse.
Same for US SP500 yd compressed in only 16 pts, so ready for a possible explosion...we'll see.

As I wrote stop trading for current week, so done my day and week:

TOTAL +372 pips FDXM.

i have often thought about this, as well as the question: What is the market? – and there are many good answers to these questions.

Let me give one answer: A trader is (only) someone who acts according to the principle of "skin in the game": every day we put our opinions and expectations (about the market) and our personality to the test of reality.

reality is remorseless. you can not bullshit-talk your way out of your mistakes, you can't lie them away, you can't hide them – you have to pay the price for any delusions, personal flaws or mistakes you make. you are forced to be absolutely serious, focused, upright and disciplined – reality/market won't forgive anything else. but those character traits have always been viewed as gold. a trader is someone who knows that he has to become like this. per aspera ad astra

here's another one: a trader is someone who has learned to know (or see) when the odds are in his favor, and only then and exactly then he makes his bet.

it was when i realized this, that i began to make consistent profits...

After 50 years luckily I'm always here watching a Champions League Final......
Not sure 1st final I've seen was AC MILAN vs AJAX 4-1 or AJAX vs INTER 2-0, and I can't ask this to my dad anymore....ah memories!

CHELSEA deserved to win, specially after MAN CITY missed a couple of chances 1st half. Mendy was totally unoccupied whole match, more or less.

Then Guardiola played 2nd half with 2 cemtral forwards same time.....while he never played this way whole season, so a little bit confusion to desperately try to score a goal. And now he will certainly buy Jack Grealish, but he needs a strong Aguero substitute for next season too, imho.

LONDON and NY on holiday today.
So lethargic market after some typical moves around 9CET or they could even push prices wherever they want taking into account lower volumes, that for me it's not an issue or problem. Lack of voalitility is main problem for me, not volumes.

Germany Inflation data today next excuse to go where they wish.
On big last swing scenario key levels in play are 560 zone and 390 zone (DAX CASH INDEX).

I will buy something around last week lows, 35..38..zone, maybe 42..zone (last friday lows) otherwise AMEN.....I will be on holiday too today.
3 weeks to go to current Quarter expiration adn I will probably trade in conservative mode as I don't want waste my decent Quarterly performance so far.

The odds may be on your side, but you always must face potential unexpected market moves.
How to manage if trade going wrong? This is becoming my approach most of the times, specially when I trade in conservative mode......at the end of the Quarter!

Well, we can say worst is behind you and your family, but you will have a vaccine later ?

and Yes, the sea will isolate your Region, but you know on the highway is an intense district for traffic of goods and people North East Europe, not so easy to be isolated this way, imho.

Do you have any indicator or site link where both High Low volatility (for all TFs in %), as well as Implied or forecast volatility, are shown, preferably side by side?

how to manage if trade is going wrong...
either you have excellent skills in this kind of management – like you seem to have.. but i don't have these skills, and since i'm only scalping these days, i always have a hard stop loss nowadays. i wouldn't even say that the trade has gone wrong if the stop loss has been reached. it's just part of the game. trades are only gone wrong, if i had no good reason to enter at all.
we should always think in different scenarios and even try to make the "unexpected" one scenario. but i think anyone following this journal has seen that it's important to think in scenarios. part of a scenario is to know, what you must do in case the scenario realizes itself. (e.g. for me one scenario in scalping would be a drawdown of 20 points –> close position. only very few times i see a counter scenario unfold and move my SL so that position stays open.).

Yes, obviously when trade goes wrong there's a stop loss, or better say for me it should be a stop loss......
One day I will face this issue, one way or another, I know, maybe next Quarter, next journal on MICRO if their volumes will increase, cause I have a couple of concrete ideas I need to trade live for a while and with a stop loss variable not fixed, depending on market phase!

Because on the other hand it is too simple say 20 or 30 pts as stop per trade. you know for instance in a day as today or many other days, random and erratic market moves around certain levels will catch many stops as those, while prices could remain always there, more or less.

As I posted on my early morning chart prices below 480 zone (FDAX/FDXM) will not let prices to go up,
And as I wrote, I've always some orders placed around 42..zone (friday lows) until 39..38..zone.

US Futures a ittle bit weak today, we'll see into official European close what will happen......

438 now as DAX FUTURES, better stay aside into the official month close, as last April day, DAX CASH INDEX went down roughly 50 pts at the official close......
maybe this time it' s only too soon...we'll see
