Hello Harold,

Quick hypothetical question about one setup (circled on the cart)
The red trigger bar was 23 ticks long (no trade), but had it been 20 ticks or less, would that setup be OK being an inside bar?
Are the other setups correct?

inside bars are not pullbacks. The only time we would take an inside bar would be a pause bar

I believe you have the right approach, but if you lost a grand you need more practice. Just make sure you don't lose another one Nothing wrong with 1 trade a day. Focus on systems, winners & losers have the same 'goal'. Small improvements daily lead to momentum. Goals are short lived changes rather than focusing on building habits for the long term.

You will learn to think fast, it just happens. Sim will help you with that, but the minute you go live & take a couple of losses your mental set will change. So I would say sim is good for perfecting the habits.

Forex is like the penny slot machines, unless you have beg stops. Harolds setups are a good thing to focus on, but you have to watch price (& trade futures) to gain the experience to frame them for yourself. That is going to take time, & if you are looking for confirmation - then seek to find it with your own edge. Nobody is going to tell you what theirs is. Ask yourself, 'how can I work out when not to trade'.

I've been on here a long time, longer than I would have liked. But I do love a challenge, I expect the other veterans are the same.

That's a good benchmark, since it is a warning to stay out. And I'm becoming increasingly aware (from close observation) that watching & learning to stay out is the name of the game.

Took some small hits, had some small wins. Nothing to write home about. Flat, but boy there are opportunities. Trying to condition myself out of impatience, lol. The YM will see to that ....

Bit by bit, it is only a matter of time before I hit one of these home runs. I just have to get over allowing the small losses to mess with me. Stayed with that last trade for what seemed like ever, and then thought 'this is has been too long'. Patience lol...

mentally difficult, i hope you succeed. I just try to take a few ticks a day. Today 1 loss 1 win 1/2 win and a few +2 , total +18
