Congrats, Bigivan.

I'm in the middle of the 100k paid challenge. Good first day yesterday but shot myself in the foot this morning.
Now I have to give myself a pep talk and trade better. Didn't break the rules, still alive. Only Day 2.
Just disappointed but I've been 'there' before. Just not in a paid challenge.

Nice going but why on earth did you not go for the 50k dollar option? 50k is a lot better to work with then 35k. You can still pay for it in GBP

I am from Russia, 1 dollar 77 rubles, 1 pound 110, the difference is obvious) and in the future I am more than sure that the dollar will continue to fall and the pound will rise, respectively, my payments will be even higher.

Why would it be better? If you don't use all the margin all the time using an account in your base currency that you use for every day it's better, IMO.

50k is better then 35k to trade with or am I missing something? That's the whole idea of getting these Prop accounts is because we want to trade with a bigger balance! But if you don't think so that's fine!

To give you an example, I have a 200 AUD dollar account which I'm busy trading. The larger the account size the more leverage I have to play with. It only cost me around 110 quid. If I wanted to get a USD account with the same balance it would have cost me about £145

Elementary mathmatics mate.

I have already explained my logic when choosing, I do not trust the dollar as a currency, the choice was between pounds and euros, I also chose the pound because it is my favorite trading pair) gbpusd with cosmic volatility.

50,000 USD to RUB - 3,745,875
35,000 GBP to RUB - 3,644,270
The purchasing power of the account is actually not much less. And I'm not going to open positions for the entire margin

Exactly. If you are not using the entire margin this difference between €,$ or pound does not matter.

And also 1 pip in €,$ or pound has different value.

EURUSD - 1pip = 10$
EURUSD - 1pip = 8.9€
EURUSD - 1pip = 8.1 pound

https://www.forextime.com/eu/trading...pip-calculator

Thats why are the differences in account sizes between the currencies.

The work is almost done) 4 days left for 1 order 0.01 (including weekends). I won't fall for this bait again like last time I'd better go train on my small real account.

The strategy works on IC markets and other brokers, but i'm just worried if FTMO makes excessive spreads after market hours, or does it match ICM?

Thanks for the feedback, do you think FTMO spreads are the same as IC markets ECN accounts? or any other ECN broker available on the market

You should just open the demo challenge and see all the most selected questions, but about spreads - they are very good together with the commission, I know only 1 broker who has better conditions (based on the calculation of spreads and commissions)
