Its close to the end of the week and i have to go out so quick post....Balance $777.15....Float $-39.83....


Thats a $177.75 gain for the week...at 0.50 a pip...and zero losses.

Its Staurday morning here so have a great weekend see you all next.

anyone wanting to set this up correctly the pipset is the answer..I have had running several pairs on a demo at varies pipsets and anything below 35 is a distaster...

First day results for FireBird live, v.2. $53.00 profit.

Trading mini-account, see attached for currency pairs. Yeah I punked out on trading standard lots but that will change to a standard account because I don't know how to count in mini-terms!!

Where it says pipstep= 35.........change the number if its below 35..

40 for a slow gain and 35 appears to be opening a lot.

As I said before, the highest you can get is 25% with 1min data. You can compare that to the 90% of 5 min data.
But you want 90%, so this one is for you.

Anyway, it is still a backtest. I only trust my own actual tradings.

Please see wackena's post #1277 in this thread. It includes the EA and the settings for using mini-lots.

If you read this thread, you'll see I've been testing and reporting results for "demo" accounts trading standard lots (100,000). On Tuesday Nov 7th, I switched from the "live" mini-account to the "live" standard account. So unless you're trading standard lots also, you don't want my settings. Use the settings in post #1277.

I let FB open two trades during the elections this evening....$58.00 in profit thus far, in less than two hours (0 float). Only two trades due to the unpredictablility of market impact from the elections. Think I'll shut her down now and await the election outcome. Democratic house....Republican senate (as called by dukeofdents in another thread).

There are several settings that are being used that are doing well. If you read back through this thread they are listed. You could look at posts by skyline, glenn5t, mono. This will give you an idea of what to demo. I am using glenn5t and skyline's settings on two different demos.

Firebird is tough!!!

Most of this morning I'd been looking at -$1,600 in float, using $5,000 in margin (trading "live", not "demo", standard, not mini lots), as the dollar strengthened due primarily to the election results. Now the float is approximately -$700 and, this is what I enjoy, trades turning to profit!

FireBird is Tough! Part II

See attached report for morning results....

This is the first and quite probably the last time I'll post actual results. My word is bond so just take my written word for it in the future!!

By the way the negative number (-$212) was not caused by FireBird but rather it's the result of a newstrade, something in Canada I think this morning.

Correction: float fell below $300 during the time I was creating this message.

Page 92, post 1378 of this thread, has the settings, no need to post the same settings over and over again

On a great note! those settings are working pretty well, 8 trades closed today for profit. I'll post results for this week later today.
