Multiple Time Frames to gauge {immediate expected volatility (D1, H1 i.e. on the day within the current hour)} & {Trend Bias (Long above H1 open & Vice Versa)} +

Impulse trigger from trend and tick volume indicators on M1 & 5 sec charts +

Personal Semi-Manual Momentum Trading Strategy

I trade mostly using intraday volatility and using such indicators as aligator and moving average.

I see that as intra-day momentum trading.

I strongly disagree with this statement. The only TA that don't work are the ones that are being taught and available for the general public to read...majority of these strategies already lost their edges eons ago. Real working TA called "Alphas" are kept hidden and will never be revealed to the general public. I know a few people that are using "Alphas" including my uncle and they won't even sell it for billions of dollar nor teach it to his one and only child (maybe when he is very old he will teach it but he is 72 already) so probably that legacy will die with him.

There are many ways to trade. So you decide what works for you. At any rate, it wasn't an issue of whether it works but an opinion on what that type of trading is.

Long story short: FUNDAMENTAL ANALYSIS

I started with learning technical analysis just like most of the people. I saw "Supply & Demand" strategy in this forum back in 2017 i guess, which sounded very logical. I tried it for like 2 years and it was a complete disaster. There were so called "mentors" named Sam Seiden and Alfonso Moreno and let me tell you something: they are great liars.

After that i tried probably few hundred indicators and failed miserably. My problem was never the money management. The problem was low success rates, i was losing slow and steadily. I was convinced that technical analysis don't work. I decided to take a break from the markets and come back when i make up my mind.

So after a 6 month break, i decided to educate myself about "what determines the value of a currency" and "what drives the foreign exchange markets" for months. The answer was FUNDAMENTALS. I backtested the charts analysing the historical price movements and pairing them with the news events and came to a conclusion that fundamentals are the only way to predict the markets.

Technical analysis shows us the historical data, or the present at the most. While you can use it to time your entries, it can't enlighten the future. So using only technicals to predict the markets is like walking backwards. You are walking but you literally don't have any idea about what's happening behind you. That's very dangerous and you will fall or hit something sooner or later.

People think fundamentals are complex and they are avoiding it but they are actually quite simple. A lot simpler than crowded technical charts. Also the risk reward is pretty good. I plan and analyse my trades on a month-to-month basis and i can ride my profits for weeks and months without any worries and cut my losses very early.
