I hate it! Lost too much and now I have a fear. But I hate to work too. I'm too good to have a boss and waste my time to get to work.
But I have found a solution. Bots can trade instead of me.

In order to lead you must learn how to follow. Respect your boss because of that. Dont expect any man to be as good example for you. All man have issues... But you need to learn how to be humble and follow orders. Any legitime business can be good environment for you to learn.

Let's be honest. When you consistently lose money you cannot like trading. And most people here in FF are consistent losers.

I see that was a pain for you. That's good. No pain no gain.

If you want to succeed:

1. Find some regular job... with boss.
2. Do the best you can in that job.
3. Then will open some new doors in your life (and/or in your forex EAs).

I've been trading for almost 20 years. So of course, I love it.

For me trading is in many ways like chess. Win or lose, I learn something, but because I really want to ! And every time I really do learn, it is exhilarating. I grow.

Finding new ways to adapt to my opponent as he tries to adapt to my play, and finishing up on top, is worth the effort !

But have to keep growing and changing, faster and bigger than your opponent.

You have to be a fox to trick him.

A wolf pack (a diversity of approaches to react to price), attacking on all sides at all times.

A bear to smash through with compounding when the rarest and most rewardable times to trade appear, to humbly scale back in doubt of your rivals strength.

A tiger, as patient and swift in his attacks in the night.
If I don't mention SL and TP = longer-term setup possibly in the works!

Suppose someone comes along and is able to match your ROI. Someone totally trustworthy. Would you hand over your account to him/her to do the trading instead? Ignore the costs you have to pay to him/her, assume the net gains would be the same as if you were the one doing the trading. Do you like to trade? Or do you trade only to make money?

Let's be honest // "someone totally trustworthy" no one is totally anything.
Let's be honest // To "ignore management fees and assume equal net gains" would be foolish and is futile.
Good luck on developing your mindset..

Fine, sufficiently trustworthy then.

Also, I did not say to totally ignore fees, but more to assume the net gains would be the same.

I like to programm EAs. Excellent feeling when found good setup working profitable. Like I found treasury or gold mining - extracting gold (money) from dirt (noisy random price numbers). Enjoing that feeling when EAs working in paralel while I do other things. I was dreaming of passive income stream and now I have it.

This will sound weird. I had more fun when I was losing. A lot more fun actually. There was always a puzzle to solve, something to think about, an indicator to code, something to read, a new chart style, arguments to be had. Now, I get up. I place trades. I cut losers, manage winners. I do the same thing, day in, day out. Trading is really like a factory job. I did not expect that. If you want to watch someone's eyes glaze over in record time, start talking about trading, or anything overtly fiscal in nature like the business cycle for that matter. Here, I like watching the stealth vendors, the one's claiming to have the special sauce, and casual arguments over which TDI is better. Then there are the thoughtful posters like yourself.

The relationship with trading is much more complicated than "like " and "dislike ".

This is a coordinate system where:

the x-axis is from "hate" to "the goal of my whole life",
the y-axis is from "boring" to "mind-blowing"
the z-axis is from "depression" to "inspiration"

That is great jmn, and I share the same experience and feelings.

Even if Ive been trading good enough for while, I still have puzzles to this day, but its not enough anymore, its not daily, and I admit that it is a need for me.

I guess that is why I always have to play chess with the toughest (in relation to me!). I need that seemingly unbreakable puzzle to solve and I get to continue learning. Couldnt live without it !
