I have used them regularly with no issues. Use Neteller for deposits which is instant and withdrawals take a day. I usually make my withdrawal request in the evening (my timezone) and the money is always in my Neteller account the next morning, no questions asked. Some brokers always want to talk to you on the phone when you withdraw funds which just painful, but Pepperstone is not one of them. Neteller deposits are free and withdrawals cost $1.
I get cashback on commissions through paybackfx which helps keep costs under control.
I upgraded to the pro account to keep the leverage but would have migrated offshore if required. I use many brokers and Pepperstone is one of my favorites.
I'm not a scalper so I can't comment on trade execution or slippage but I haven't noticed anything strange. What I will say is that Pepperstone is one of the brokers I would trust with just about any amount of funds, unlike some brokers where I limit my equity to 20% of total trading capital.
