DislikedSomeone knows a good angle indicator giving the + & - actual inclination degree of trend indicators and/or oscillators ?Ignored
Disliked{quote}...1) What instruction code must be added to make the angle degree reading (Angle & AngleStr) visible for access from an EA and other indicators, so the value can be used for reference and further handling outside the indicator ? 2) To make the indicator follow the Trend Angle always attach to latest candles ? Can any one help me with these issues ? {file}Ignored
Disliked{quote} Hello, I found attached "Trend_Angle" indicator, that's doing the job. However, in order to return positive/negative angle values I had to modify this section: double Angle; string AngleStr; int x1, x2, y1, y2; ChartTimePriceToXY(0, 0, Time[10], 10.*Price1-9.*Price2, x1, y1); ChartTimePriceToXY(0, 0, Time2, Price2, x2, y2); if((90-MathArctan((0.+x1-x2)/(0.+y2-y1))*180./Pi)<= 90) Angle=90-MathArctan((0.+x1-x2)/(0.+y2-y1))*180./Pi;// for upper cyclus if((90-MathArctan((0.+x1-x2)/(0.+y2-y1))*180./Pi)> 90) Angle=-90-MathArctan((0.+x1-x2)/(0.+y2-y1))*180./Pi;//...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Several ways, simplest is to just calculate it inside the ea.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Hi John, 1) I fixed a Buffer ANGL, so you can see in data screen and use it by iCustom() in your EA, also a option ShowANGL :True/False to watch as #Angle= -13.29 in the main screen 2) Since current Bar is open , I have no idea {file}Ignored
Disliked{quote} Thanks jeanlouie, calculate inside the EA is maybe simplest, but requires to be done within each application. Therefore believe Ceto's fix looks an easier way. Thanks for the hint anyway Second item "2) To make the indicator follow the Trend Angle always attach to latest candles ?" remain unsolved as the indi locks from time to time to previous candles at time the indi was applied to chart.Ignored
QuoteDislikedindi locks from time to time
Disliked{quote} Keep in mind you're using chart xy coords, not time price, the angle you get is relative to the chart scale and has nothing to do with with the ma slope, which should be measured in pips per time, and since time can be standardised to 1 unit per candle, then angle is then simply pips per candle, not rise/run of equal scale units. ie Is it 36', or 56' or 7'? {image} {quote} Experts tab should show there is a zero divide error that isn't handled.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Thanks jeanlouie for pointing this topic, I know the obtained angle value is not relative to the chart scale and nothing to-do with MA slope, but good enough within the range of calculations I need to integrate. Therefore I'm still wondering as to why the indi locks from time to time ? So far there is no zero divide error handling I can find/see in the Experts tabIgnored
