i'm really new to this methodology .I'm starting to learn slowly from storehouse videos and this very rich thread (still at first pages).
Probably seems a stupid question, but i've seen that most of you take for granted some basics that for newbies like me seems very difficult to understand and this blocks me from going on learning more and more. I've so many questions really but i don't want ot post them all togheter

1) AKT defines a matrix decision, I would like enlightment about the steps inside it, they are not clear to me, at least not all...
As far as i've understood from the curve TF, we decide to go short or long according to the current price if very near the supply or demand zone we directly go to entry timeframe without considering the trend in middle TF and that's ok; in other cases we go to the trend prevailing in the middle TF making ONLY. In the curve do we need to always identify supply and demand zones which are fresh and immediately near the current price or can we consider also not-fresh zones which are near the current price but not fresh? Sometimes in videos from storehouse these extreme zones of the curve don't seem to be fresh (for example current price in a non fresh demand but identification of fresh supply above it).Shouldn't they both be fresh (demand AND supply zone of the curve) in order to identify the range?
2) if the the Price action is in the middle of the curve, we go to middle timeframe to see the trend. In this case, why do i often see you draw Trendline also in the biggest (curve) timeframe and not only in the middle? which one should i use as reference?
3) when to be allowed to use a set&forget and when a only a confirmation entry?
4) which are the exact rules of the "inheritance" of a supply/demand zone from another level and at whcih extent is it still valid (i.e. the inheritance of the inheritance is still valid?)
5) the 2:1 rule is not always necessary to identify the S/D zones, but only to define it as tradable or not?

I have been trading supply and demand for the past 6+ months with good success. I trade the Emini for 5point moves, but have traded FX/futures/equities as well. Oftentimes catching knives or shorting rockets and giggling to myself at the accuracy that can be done. A great deal of my learning can be attributed to the free information offered by Sam Seiden, NSTrading Academy, Moneyball Austin, and recently this forum thread.
I understand that we are looking for RBD/DBD/RBR/DBR zones. The specific drawing of these zones is up for some debate [to include the wicks, to not to, etc etc.]. I personally have had great success by starting at a HTF and slowly coming down until seeing where the large move precisely originated from. Tight basing being the best to see.
However, oftentimes we will see some sort of accumulation followed by a strong move. Although it does not technically create a DBD shape on any time frame, the zone will work. Perhaps there is a low volume @ price node, a Fibonacci retracement, a pivot, etc. at that area. Whatever it may be.
This really makes me wonder if instead of looking for some specific shape [RBD/DBD/RBR/DBR], we should instead be simply looking for accumulation of some kind, followed by a strong move. The major variable to be considered would be the amount of basing you need based on the timeframe of your trading. But a specific shape not being necessary. Having a general idea of levels/zones, with fibs/pivots/high volume/low volume nodes/etc. within the zone, seeing basing, and then a strong move away.
What is the need for a specific shape to be seen? Should we not be looking for A+ setups that use basing in a zone/level/fib/pivot/etc., and then a strong move away from it? Why bother taking an entry if it is not in a zone/level and therefore has a lower probability of holding?
Other variables such as market internals, verticality into the entry, time of day [market moves differently], supply zones being far from your demand zone entry, etc. being taken into account as well.

sorry for resuming a very far post from akt , from pag.14 of this thread, post #268 from AKT ....please don't shot me! I don't even know if the image will be visible ...but i'm intentioned to read everything from the beginning to learn better and better this methodology
.I'm still at the beginning of the learning curve and i'm starting from the first page.
I would appreciate enlightments on the steps / rules of the decision matrix used by AKT and other members, such as when to see the momentum/trand on the biggerst timeframe and when to go to intermediate TF or entrytimeframe directly; what to do when trend and/or mementum aren't lined up on the curveTF and Intermediate TF and so on...
I know i can only take helps from other traders at this step without giving any contribution, but it has been for everybody at the beginning.
it seems to me very difficult to understand the decision process without the entire rules that guide to it, and it's very difficult to try to identify these rules step by step reading 465 pages of this thread... I'll try to do it anyway but the learning process in this case will increase exponentially.
For instance, from this image (monthly timeframe), price is now at a non fresh supplyzone. It seems to me to be in the middle between a demand zone below (not defined by AKT) and the fresh SZ above. Why don't you go directly to middletimeframe to see the trend, while instead you focus on momentum and trend in the monthly anyway before going to weeklyTF ? How according to the decision matrix monthly trend/momentum affect the decision process when the price seems just in the middle of the curve (or at a non fresh supply zone as in this example) ? Besides, why AKT defines the zone where price is as a monthly SZ? it doesn't break any momentum line or remove any opposing demand, isn't it?

PS: I really appreciated to understand the entire decision matrix rules or to have it posted or someone to share with me the rules in details if possible. Everything in the learning process will be much easier if I have the general wider picture
