The levels that you quote, on my platform (AVA) happened 2 hours before NY open.

On my platform the low of the day prior to NY open was 32140?

I traded 32170 (200 below the open with 60 SL and lost, 100 SL would have TP
I traded next at 32150 just before NY open and had TP using 100 SL
For me a BE day that could have been so good with my old SL of 100

We learn every day, perhaps leave experiments to demo accounts!

You are working with the US30fut asset.

we are talking about US30.

US30 is different from US30fut.

This is correct,exactly, I experienced it on FBS MT4,which no longer available,as they told me last week.You have to be careful with expiry date and times,its called YM-21H,Dow mini futures and it nothing like actual US30 instrument,be careful Larry.....US30 by name will always be the same

Nice one ,I will be using this to back test and see if there's value in dividing the stop loss into 2 and the target profit also Into 2.I have 6 years of 30 mins chat from my broker.

Hi, just one note. Even if it is the US30fut. we can apply the same concept/rules .... and it works ... at least on my side because I do not have access to us30 with my broker.

The market loves to go to our stops, so the stop loss cannot be tightened.

I made a new entry and searched for + 150 pips.

after the low or the high breaks, the price is unlikely to go the other way.

Pice entries may be very different in each broker.
Robson uses Valutrades, but everybody has their own broker and has to look at daily high/low one hour before high volatility time.

On Valutrades this time is 16:00. Open your chart and look at the big candle in H1 in the NY session.

Set your daily high/low trades one hour before this time. In Valutrades it is 15:00 hours.

In the image, the box shows the candles 15:00/16:00 and 16:00/17:00 and the daily high/low at that time.

I ignored the ADR for the demo trade. At the time of the pending orders the ADR was at 65%.

I closed the buy stop position and just drove out,by the time I reach home 90 pips I'm seeing now,no drawdown entry,price kept up,but there's always tomorrow

Hi Guys,

I did a simple idea test based on OP's idea to get better risk to reward. I was able to back test manually from Feb1- till date.

Risk reward is incredible. I need a simple indicator or EA to further back test this strategy to save some time.

Any coders please contact me. I will share the results after at least a years back test data.

Results from Feb 1 till date : 24 wins 9 loss. 1:1 RR. 72% win rate . Also any feedback is appreciated.
