DislikedThe triple expiration day at the derivatives exchange Eurex Exchange is of great importance for the German stock market. This day is colloquially also called triple witching day. Four times a year, on the third Friday in March, June, September and December futures and options contracts on DAX...
Ignored
Anyway I try:
1. exactly tomorrow is a quadruple witching expiration for:Indices futures, Indices options, Stocks futures, Stocks options.
2. DAX expiration is between 13-13:10CET. But Eurostoxx50 (1/3rd shares are from German DAX30) will expire 1 hour before (11.50-12CET).
For US Indices I guess expiration is at 14:30CET (to be confirmed, not sure).
3. Around those hours, so let's say 11:30CET-13CET in Europe you can easily see vertical erratic moves for dozens and sometimes more pts.
For instance last time, on Dec 18 2020, DAX went up suddenly for 100 pts between 11:30CET until midday.
4. Real huge market moves happens after, or the day/days after. For instance last September expiration we had 700 pts down between friday/monday or last December we had 650 pts move , always on next monday.
I hope I have replied to your questions.
